LET’S GET TO KNOW GRADY
How long have you been playing football?
I’ve been playing football since 7th grade
Why did you start playing football?
I started playing football because I loved watching the Steelers and Penn State. It looked like a lot of fun, and I had to beg my mom for years to let me play. Eventually, my middle school coach convinced her
Do you have a team goal this year and if so what?
Our team goal this year is to win a state championship
Who or what is your biggest motivation?
My biggest motivators are definitely my parents/family. Some of my grandparents worked in the steel mills, and all of them were tough, hardworking people, and they passed those qualities to my parents so I’m always motivated to be the toughest and most hardworking person in a room
What’s your favorite play you remember from your high school career?
My favorite play from my high school career was sealing the game against Penn Hills my junior year with a 4th down sack to give our offense the ball back to run the clock out
What are you going to miss the most about the team when you graduate?
Some of the things I’m going to miss most when I graduate are the bus rides, the hot summer days in the weight room getting better with my guys, hanging out in the locker room between practices in camp, and also going to war with my brothers every Friday night
Do you have any advice for underclassmen?
My advice to underclassmen is to take in and cherish all of the things that seem small in the grand scheme of high school football, those bonds created with your team will be the things you remember
What’s your favorite pre-game song?
My favorite pregame song is Tunnel Vision by Kodak Black
What’s your pre-game routine?
I start my pregame routine Thursday night, I go to Chick-fil-A with a few of my teammates. Then on Friday when we get on the bus I play old Drake to calm my mind, and then once we get to the stadium I play music that gets me in the right mindset to play football. Before every game, I pray on the 45-yard line
What’s your favorite sports movie?
My favorite sports movie is Happy Gilmore
What do you do for fun when not playing football?
When I’m not playing football, I love to go to Sheetz with my friends and get MTOs, play golf, or go to the pool
If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?
If I could live anywhere in the world, I’d want to live in Naples, Florida right on the beach
What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school was Business Law. I really enjoyed learning about the legal system, and we got to do a mock trial which was pretty exciting
What is your dream job (besides being a professional football player)?
My dream job is either a corporate lawyer in New York or a big-time sports agent
What’s your favorite meal?
My favorite meal is steak and mashed potatoes
What’s your dream vacation?
My dream vacation is to go to Mykonos, Greece, and then to Italy
What’s your favorite part of being a Pittsburgh Central Catholic student?
My favorite part about being a Central Catholic student is the tradition of brotherhood and the proud alumni network. Everybody is always looking out for one another when they’ve walked the halls of Central
