WORDS FROM THE HEAD COACH:

Tremendous size and great ball skills. Runs great routes and is an unselfish blocker. A natural leader and will be a special player at the collegiate level. Mike lead the team in receiving yards and td’s last season. He is also a great safety for the team as well.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Cornell High School ?
I don’t actually go to Cornell, I go to Nazareth Prep but Cornell is our co-op. The best part of it is being able to experience two different schools and seeing the way they operate differently and the fan base of Cornell.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
10 years

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
Union, because of there lights going on and off after touchdowns and fireworks and it was a very competitive camp.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
Offense, I feel like if there’s a chance to make the play, I want to make it but with the ball in my hands.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
Being on TV twice, first time in Cornell history.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
When we were 6-0, the fan base was huge and the love from Cornell was crazy!

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
The sense of humor, we had a lot of fun last season.

What are your goals for the 2024 season ?
Undefeated season, first championship in history, and 1000 yards rec, and for our defense to have over 20 pics in total.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
Football it’s Travis Kelce because, I used to play tight-end and I learned a lot from him. Basketball. it has to be Luka, because of how nobody can change his pace.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
The first touchdown down against Bishop Canevin because my quarterback threw it up, and I made a big play for us, also it was on TV.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
There’s two players Jason Cross-Bishop Canevin and Matt Seig-Fort Cherry.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
Florida Gators, always been a fan.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
Football, Kansas City Chiefs.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
Chiefs vs Patriots in the AFC Championship, the start of the Chiefs dynasty.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
Coach Carter, it shows that you can do everything right but still lose and also losing isn’t the end, it’s a bump in the road.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Throw a touchdown pass.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Baseball

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
Getting ran over in practice.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Playing the game.

Sheetz, I go there every time I’m on the road.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
North Carolina

Yes, Steelers and Pirates.

NBA, games are the most interesting in my opinion.

Pepperoni, that’s it.

Country, I want to be alone with my family enjoying life.
