Julian Dahlem. First Team All conference WR/ DB. Plays multiple positions. Three year starter. Also point guard on WPIAL Championship basketball team. Little brother of 1st Team All-State QB Ethan Dahlem.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at USC High School?
High academic standards, while being known as one of the teams other teams want to beat.

How long have you been playing football(any level)?
I have been playing football since I was 4.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall
atmosphere, along with what made it so good?
The best stadium I have ever played in is at Gateway, but the best
atmosphere is always going to be against Lebo away.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense? Explain:
Offense no doubt, scoring the game-winning touchdown while the student section is on the sideline, storming the field, nothing feels better than the whole community supporting.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement?
My biggest achievement was winning the WPIAL 6a basketball championship.

What was the high point of the 2023 season?
I would not say there is a high point because we did not make the playoffs, but we saw our potential towards the end of the year.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024?
The seniors who I have been playing with since youth.

What are your goals for the 2024 season?
Winning the WPIAL in both football and basketball.

Who is your favorite sports star and why?
Julian Edelman, would always say heart over height and that is exactly how I feel.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Game-winning touchdown to send us off to the semi-final against Bethel Park. It was a roll and I saw no one open and it was 4th and 11, but I threw a perfect ball to Aiden Bessleman and we ended up winning.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for?
Probably a lot of my own teammates, but Ryan Palmeri.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game?
University of North Carolina

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport)? Explain:
Steelers, If you live in PGH, how are you not a fan of the black and gold.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
Villanova vs UNC 2016, was the best college basketball game-winner of all time.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why?
Rocky, there are multiple ones and it’s all about motivation.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen.
Play for a P4 school.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Baseball

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
A trick play by Moon.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go-to activity, and why?
Hanging out with my friends or doing something with my brother. Being with people who make you smile is the best thing you can have in life.

Sheetz, no explanation is needed, due to being from Pittsburgh.

What is your favorite vacation destination?
Bahamas

Spiders

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why?
Steak N Shake has the best milkshakes and food, but sadly they are only in
Ohio now.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones?
Lots of Steelers and Pirates games.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why?
March Madness, it’s very easy to watch and very fun seeing lower seeds upset like Duke and Kentucky.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console?
Tom Clancy’s, Rainbow Six Siege

What toppings go on your favorite pizza?
Nothing straight cheese!

Ap Physics 1

Favorite Band/Musician?
Gunna or Lil Uzi

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where?
Airplane, to Las Vegas.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
Becoming successful in the future, and hopefully train my kids to be better than I ever will be.

The location do you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc)? Explain why:
City, any city can bring pride and joy. plus some environments like Pittsburgh are just unbeatable.
