Let’s get to know Phillip!
How long have you been playing football?
I started playing football in seventh grade.
Why do you play football?
I play football because it challenges me to build discipline and character while competing in a team environment.
What was the 2024 season like for you?
My 2024 season was full of challenges and excitement. We were disappointed to have been knocked out during the second round of playoffs, but it built up resilience for the season.
What are your goals for 2025?
My goals are to go undefeated in section play and win a WPIAL championship. My individual goals are 1,000 receiving yards and 5 interceptions.
What do you think is the best aspect of your game?
I feel that the best aspect of my game is that I am a team player and I have an intense work ethic.
What is your favorite football memory?
My favorite football memory is my first ever varsity touchdown which was an 87 yard kickoff return.
What does leadership mean to you?
Leadership is shown not only through your words but also through your actions.
What is the best part about playing for Beaver High School?
The culture building up the team.
Who was the best player you have ever played against?
Tiqwai Hayes
Which current or former teammate has had the most impact on you as a player and person?
Brady Mayo has had the most impact on me as a player and person.
Who is your biggest fan?
My parents are my biggest fans.
What are your hobbies outside of football?
My hobbies are watching star wars, building legos, and fishing.
What is your favorite and least favorite practice drill to run?
My favorite drill is 1 on 1s. I do not have a least favorite drill.
What is your favorite musical artist to listen to before games?
My favorite musical artist to listen to pregame is Drake.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is Outer Banks.
What is your favorite pregame meal?
My favorite pregame meal is pasta.
