Coach says: “Marco is maybe the leading tackler in the state going into his senior year with well over 200 tackles. He has over 30 starts and has been a fixture on a defense that looks to be pretty solid in 2025. He is also an excellent lacrosse player, with athleticism and an aggressive style of play.”

Let’s get to know Marco:

How long have you been playing football?

I started playing football for the Canon Mac little macs in first grade, heading into my 12th season this year.

Why did you start playing football?

My dad, pap and cousins all played. I have been around the game my entire life. So it is a tradition.

Do you have a personal goal this year and if so, what?

Lead Canon-McMillan high school in tackles.

Who or what is your biggest motivation and why?

My motivation is self awareness to be better and trying to achieve it daily, when you accomplish the day it feels good.

What is a favorite moment with the team or play you remember from your high school career?

Beating Peter’s Township freshmen year.

What are you going to miss the most about the class of 2025?

25’ very close friends for many years will miss them a lot.

How do you think your role and leadership on the team has changed now that you are going to be a senior?

Going in as a four-year starter I feel like I need to display leadership skills across the field.

What do you love about playing football for Canon-McMillan?

Coach Dellilo, Coach Evans and the staff, great home environment as well!

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Someone out there is strong and faster than you so work harder.

What is your favorite pre-game song?

MET GALA

What is your pre-game routine?

Mix of hibachi or Vesta 88 pasta.

If you could have any person (living or not) watch you play football who would it be, and why?

Great Grandmother Elsie/Mam.

You have over 200 total tackles in your career; what do you think makes you so good at being able to execute tackles?

My closing speed and ability to hawk the ball down.

What do you do for fun when not playing football?

Lacrosse, golf, fish, ski and lift.

What impact (positive or negative) do you think playing lacrosse has on your football career?

Positive, my lateral movement is very good due to the constant cutting in lacrosse. It also helps with stamina.

Which sport, football or lacrosse, do you enjoy playing more?

50/50, has always been like that my whole life.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?

West Palm or Sicily.

What is your favorite subject in school?

Social studies or personal finance.

What is your dream job (besides a professional football player)?

Successful entrepreneur.

Do you have any game day superstitions and if so, what?

Gotta have Nike underwear.

If you could play at any sports stadium what stadium would it be?

Baseball- Field of Dreams, anything else The Roman Colosseum

Do you have any pets and if so, what?

Stella- RIP Bella.

What is your favorite part of being a Canon-McMillan student?

The ping pong tournament.
