Let’s get to know Braden:
How long have you been playing football?
I started playing in seventh grade. It was the beginning of Covid, so it was not a traditional start, but I was excited.
Why did you start playing football?
I love the game, and my dad played in college. We have always been a big football family. I wanted to be a part of it!
Do you have a team goal this year and if so, what?
Our team has a new coach this year and as a senior I want to be a leader in making this season a success for the team and Coach Haugh. Our goal is to win.
Who or what is your biggest motivation and why?
My biggest motivation is the guys around me for sure- do not want to let them down.
What is a favorite moment with the team or play you remember from your high school career?
My favorite moment as a team was making the playoffs when I was a sophomore.
What are you going to miss the most about the class of 2025?
They were a tight knit crew that really looked out for everyone. I will miss their leadership.
How do you think your role and leadership on the team has changed now that you are going to be a senior?
I was a captain last year as a junior, but as a senior I definitely feel like I will do whatever it takes for us to win. I know my other senior teammates feel the same way.
What do you love about playing football for Kiski?
The brotherhood. The Friday night lights. There is nothing like it.
Do you have any advice for underclassman?
Keep working hard and keep your head up. You will get what is yours.
What is your favorite pre-game song?
Need it– NBA Youngboy.
What is your pre-game routine?
A protein shake, music and stretching.
If you could have any person (living or not) watch, you play football who would it be and why?
My Meems. She passed a few years ago and I know she would have loved to be here watching and cheering me and my brother on.
What do you do for fun when not playing football?
Hang out with friends, spend time with my family and workout.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you visit?
I would love to visit Turks and Caicos- I do love staying home though.
What is your dream job (besides a professional football player)?
Either a sports scientist or an accountant.
What is your favorite subject in school?
Sociology- shout out Dave Williamson.
What is your favorite meal?
My mom’s breakfast burritos.
If you could play at any sports stadium, what stadium would it be?
Playing in Acrisure for a WPIAL championship would be dope.
Do you have any pets and if so, what?
We have a boxer named Ginger. She turns 10 in August and loves pancakes.
What is your favorite part of being a Kiski student?
I have made really good friends here, but I also like the teachers I have had.
