Let’s get to know Dylan:
How long have you been playing football?
I have been playing for 12 years.
Why did you start playing football?
I started playing because my best friend and his dad convinced me to.
Do you have a personal goal this year and if so, what?
My personal goal is to be 1st team all-conference and parkway conference defensive MVP
Who or what is your biggest motivation and why?
My biggest motivation would definitely be my parents; they have sacrificed a lot for me to succeed.
What is a favorite moment with the team or play you remember from your high school career?
My favorite moment from my career so far is when right before the last play for our win against Aliquippa our announcer played the song renegade and the stadium went nuts.
What are you going to miss the most about the class of 2025?
The thing that I will miss most from the class of 2025 is that some of my closest friends are in that class. We’ve played football together our whole lives and created countless memories throughout it.
How do you think your role and leadership on the team has changed now that you are going to be a senior?
I think my role changed because I definitely have stepped up as a leader, we had a lot of senior leadership last year, so I was not as involved in a leadership role. I hope to lead vocally and physically.
What do you love about playing football for Montour?
I love the coaching staff; the coaches sacrifice so much time away from their families for us to succeed and it has shown by how much we have succeeded the past three years. I would choose them as my staff over any other.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
One of my teammates told me after our last game last year “leave it better than you found it” and that has stuck with me since.
What is your favorite pre-game song?
My favorite pregame song is Turn the Page by Bob Seger
What is your pre-game routine?
My pre-game routine is always taking a nap, rather it it’s in my bed or on the bus ride to an away game.
Do you have any game day superstitions?
I have multiple game day superstitions. I always wear the same undershirt, and I always have to have an electrolyte drink and blue nerds gummy clusters.
What do you do for fun when not playing football?
When not playing football, I like to fish or have campfires with my friends.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I think it would be pretty awesome to live in Brazil.
What is your dream job (besides a professional football player)?
My dream job is a sports agent; I think it could bring a lot of awesome experiences.
What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject is History.
If you could have any person (living or not) come to one of your games, who would it be and why?
If I could, I would bring my pap back from heaven and have him watch me play, it was one of his favorite things to do.
If you could play at any sports stadium, what stadium would it be?
If I could play anywhere, I would pick Acrisure Stadium.
Do you have any pets and if so, what?
I have 2 pets. My dog’s name is Grover and my cat’s name is Kenny. They are both pretty cool guys.
What is your favorite part of being a Montour student?
My favorite part of being a Montour student is the amount of time we have to get work done.
