Coach says: “Robert will be a 3 year starter at cornerback for our program. He will also be returning for his second year as our starting quarterback. Last season, he quarterbacked our team to a 2A District 7 championship. Robert rushed for over 900 yards with 14 rushing touchdowns, and threw for over 600 yards with 6 passing touchdowns. Defensively, he was our top cover corner. He also served as our long snapper. Robert never came off of the field for our team and was a key contributor and leader for our WPIAL championship team. He is also a standout baseball player, playing shortstop and pitcher. Not only a tremendous athlete, but Robert is also a physical and intelligent football player with strong leadership qualities. Most importantly, he is a solid student, who represents our program and school district in a positive manner”.

Let’s get to know Robert!

How long have you been playing football?

Since 8th grade.

Why do you play football?

That feeling you get right before kickoff on Friday night.

What was the 2024 season like for you?

It was exciting to say the least. Playing and winning at Acrisure with guys I’ve known and played with since middle school was a crazy feeling.

What are your goals for 2025?

Follow up our success from last season. We lost a lot a great talent but I have a lot of faith in this “newer” group.

What do you think is the best aspect of your game?

Definitely my run game. I got a lot of chances to use my legs last season and took advantage of those chances.

What is your favorite football memory?

Scoring the game winning touchdown last year against steel valley. That win really “planted our flag” as the most dominant team in our section.

What does leadership mean to you?

Leadership to me is showing the younger guys what to do and helping them improve their game.

What is the best part about playing for South Park High School?

Our student section is always great. Stands are always full Friday nights and I love it.

Who was the best player you have ever played against?

My sophomore year we played beaver and Amari Jackson was cooking me all game. I definitely think it’s a more even matchup now though.

Which current or former teammate has had the most impact on you as a player and person?

Our offensive line as a unit has impacted me the most. Without them I wouldn’t have been able to perform to the degree I was able to last season.

Who is your biggest fan?

My uncle has got to be my biggest fan. He’s at nearly every game and he’s always the loudest there.

What are your hobbies outside of football?

I love playing baseball outside of football.

What is your favorite and least favorite practice drill to run?

My favorite has got to be offensive skelly because the competition is great. My least favorite is definitely defensive pursuit.

What is your favorite musical artist to listen to before games?

Definitely Chris Brown.

What is your favorite vacation spot?

Anywhere in Florida, I really like the beach.

What is your favorite pregame meal?

You can never go wrong with a Philly cheesesteak hot pocket.
