On Friday night, The Armstrong River Hawks traveled to LT. J.C. Stone Field to face The North Catholic Trojans and won by a score of 21-20. Armstrong had many star players out so they had to rely on Freshman QB Jaydon Oliver to lead them to Victory.

Armstrong received the ball first and drove 70 yards down the field to put points on the board first with a 12-yard receiving touchdown by Chase Jablonski thrown by Jaydon Oliver.

North Catholic would immediately respond back to the scoring from Armstrong with a 2-yard rush from RB Jack Fennell. But the Extra point was missed leaving the score 7-6 Armstrong leading.

North Catholic would go on to force Armstrong to punt and get the ball back. They would then drive down the field leading to a 2 yd rushing touchdown by Danny Franco to give the Trojans the lead.

Chase Jablonski would make a juggling catch over 2 North Catholic defenders to put the River Hawks out of their own territory. But a few plays later Jaydon Oliver would through a interception in the endzone to Gavin Kamody.

The following drive the River Hawks would end up in Trojan territory again but end it with another Trojan interception but this time by Jason Siket.

The Trojans would end the dominate half with another Jack Fennell rushing touchdown to extend their lead to 20-7.

The second half got underway in exciting fashion by a North Catholic muffed punt recovered by Armstrongs Ian Olsen that would eventually lead to a  15 yard TD reception by Nicolas McNeeley thrown by Jaydon Oliver to put the game within one score.

Armstrong would then get the ball back after a North Catholic punt and march down the field ending the drive with Kyan Kline rushing touchdown. To finally give Armstrong the lead again nearing the end of the 3rd.

North Catholic would get the ball back and march down the field, knocking on Armstrong’s door but would be stopped on 4th down tuning over the ball.

North Catholic would get one more chance to try and win the game but would be stopped on 4th and 10 turning the ball back over to Armstrong with only a few minutes left in the game. Armstrong would go to seal the game kneeling the rest of the time out after a pass interference call made on 4th down.
