West Mifflin’s opening drive for the second half was moving well, but stalled out on a fourth down stop, leading to another Avonworth TD from Bryce Metz.
A minute on the clock later the game was postponed for about an hour due to lightning nearby.
First play was a fumble recovery taken back to the West Mifflin four-yard line then resulting in Metz’s second rushing TD of the night. Avonworth led 28-9 with under four minutes remaining in the third quarter.
From there, West Mifflin began to fight their way back as the Titans scored 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.

With just over two minutes remaining in the game, the Titans offense came out with the chance to tie and win the game, however Avonworth’s defense stood tall and caused a turnover on downs ending the game.
Despite a STRONG second half effort by the Titans, Avonworth gets the turnover on downs and will WIN THIS GAME‼️
