This was my first trip ever to Bethel Park and my first time seeing Bethel Park and Moon play. My total drive consisted of 300.3 miles all in all for me it was worth it. I wanted to first say thank you to James Del Duca for e-mailing me the update Bethel Park roster also I wanted to say the group of Betal Park parents I set near all were very nice.
The Black Hawks immediately showed they were going to go all out to pick up their first win of the season, facing a fourth and two from the Tigers 42-yard line the offense would stay on the field and pick up the first down when Troy Volpatti broke to his left to pick up 11-yards. The drive continued when Max Blanc found Tyler Stewart for 10-yards and another first down. Volpatti would put the ball on the ground with 7:42 left in the quick-moving opening quarter but his teammate Max Blanc, but there was A loss of 8-yards on the play. Blanc would have his passed picked of by Dylan Sleva, with 6:53 showing on the clock. Sleva would pick up 9-yards with his offensive line opening A big hole. Tyler McGowan ended the drive with A 48-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Snyder. Jacob Wieland would make this A 7-0 game, with his P.A.T.
The Black Hawks would get A 63-yard touchdown run from Volpatti then Michael Francus nailed his P.A.T. to lock this one up at seven, with 5:34 left in the quarter. Moon would keep the ensuing drive alive with A 4th and five conversions, with Sleva picking up the first down with A nice catch. Sleva picked up12-yards carrying the ball to the Black Hawks 5-yard line. He then plowed in for the touchdown to make this A 14-7 game, as the P.A.T. was again good.
The last 1:03 seconds of the quarter kept the excitement going for the fans. First Ben Blade recovered another Black Hawks fumble. This was followed by Joe Thimons sacking McGowan then it was Dawson Snyder hauling in A McGown pass to move the chains on A very nice 3rd and eight call.
The 2nd quarter was mostly A defensive battle with both teams coming up big. McGowan would be sacked by Zach Haddox to set the stage for the defensive slugfest. Andrew Sampson got to the Black Hawks Dylan Fusca for A 4-yard loss. Blanc suffered A sack when Sleva teamed up with Trent Fraley to get the QB for another loss of four. Ben Blade and Sampson got to Volpatti for another 4-yard loss. The Black Hawks used A bad snap to McGown to recover A fumble making the recovery was Haddox. The final big defensive play of the half came when Jake Baumgartner put Blanc down for A loss of 2-yards.
The team traded fumbles to open the third. First Jeremiah Dean put the ball on the ground with the Black Hawks Jason Muench falling on it. Then the Tigers Dalton Dobyns pounced on A Volpatti fumble. Another bad snap to McGowan resulted in Grant Eckert recording A 12-yard sack. On fourth and seven McGowen found Elijah Guillory for A 22-yard touchdown making this A 20-7 game, with 9:43 left in the quarter. Jack Kirchner caught A pass at the 9:22 mark after getting hit he coughed the ball up and making the recovery for Moon was Brady M Panucci. The ensuing drive ended with Wieland nailing A 32-yard field goal to make this A 23-7 game.
The fourth and final frame got started with Snyder picking up 11-yards on A sweep to give Moon another first down. Laer in the drive Monn faced A 4th and three on the Black Hawks 19-yard line and they decided to go for it. Snyder made A nice catch but he was out of bounds giving the Black Hawks offense the ball. The ensuing drive ended almost as fast as it started, with the biggest play coming on A sack from Blade.
After getting the ball back, Moon used A 25-yard from Dean to set up the last score and that would come on A 19-yard run by Snyder to make the score 30-7.
