
Moon’s Daiveon Taylor Recommits to Kent State

On June 27, Moon Area’s rising senior defensive end Daiveon Taylor recommitted to Kent State University.
Taylor first committed to West Virginia University on April 27, 2024. However, On April 7, 2025; Taylor flipped his commitment to Kent State while still attending Aliquippa High School; he remained committed after transferring to Moon for his upcoming senior season. Taylor started his high school career at Bishop Canevin and this marks his third transfer in four years.
Taylor had 50 tackles, seven sacks, eight tackles for a loss, two pass deflections and a forced fumble for the Quips last season.
Taylor acquired multiple D1 offers including some from the University of Buffalo, Miami (OH), Syracuse, West Virginia, New Mexico State and Sacramento State.
