Mt. Lebanon defeats Baldwin 37-6

On Friday night the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils defeated the Baldwin Fighting Highlanders 37-6.

Mount Lebanon came into the game 4-4 looking to get a win after losing three in a row.  Baldwin came into the game 1-6 looking to get an upset win on senior night.

The game started out with the first couple drives each team was trading punts.  Mount Lebanon had the first points of the game with a rushing touchdown by Fred Lasota to make the score 7-0.

Later in the first quarter Michael Malone had his first rushing touchdown of the game to make the score 14-0 Mount Lebanon.  The score at the end of the first quarter was 14-0.

The only points of the second quarter were a field goal by Ben Mcauly.  The score at halftime was 17-0 Mount Lebanon.

Baldwin started the second half with the ball but had to punt the ball away which turned into a 70-yard touchdown pass to Noah Schaerli.

They missed the extra point the score was 23-0 Mount Lebanon.

Later in the third quarter Fred Lasota had his second rushing touchdown of the game to make the score 30-0 Mount Lebanon.  It was 30-0 Mount Lebanon at the end of the third quarter.

For the first points of the fourth quarter Michael Malone had his second rushing touchdown of the game to make the score 37-0.

Late in the fourth quarter Baldwin scored their only points of the game with a rushing touchdown by John Kozar to make the score 37-6 Mount Lebanon.

The final score was 37-6 Mount Lebanon.  Michael Malone was our player of the game with two rushing touchdowns and passing touchdown.

Mount Lebanon looks to take their momentum into a key game against the Canon Mcmillian Big Macs next week.  The Big Macs have a record of 5-4.  Baldwin will take on the Moon area tigers who are 5-5.
