North Allegheny v Harrisburg, Friday December 1, 7pm @ Altoona
How they got here (click to see 6A bracket):
2023 Schedule
North Allegheny being the WPIAL 6A Champions on the season and giving a dominating game in their first state playoff game against McDowell, this team offensively and defensively is going to make ripples in the post season around the state. Being lead by a offensive trinity in Kushner, Boyd, and Alualu, this team just needs to stay consistent and they will soar in the state playoff competition.
Key’s on Offense:
Keeping the explosive plays rolling and working is the main key to this offensive style. Being one of the most explosive teams in the WPIAL and of the state this team is poised to go a long way into the state playoff post-season. Led by QB Logan Kushner, WR Khiryn Boyd, and RB Tyree Alualu with a combined 2,027 rushing yards, 1,545 passing yards and 46 touchdowns on the season and post season between the three alone, gives a central leadership for this Tiger offense. Their opponent in the Harrisburg has only allowed 28 points or fewer in every victory this season, and the Tiger have scored 43 or more points in each of their victories Getting behind this offensive trinity is going to bring this team success into this state post season.
Key’s on Defense
Best gameplay for this Tigers defense would be to focusing on stopping the run game. In every victory this season for the Harrisburg Cougars they have had 210+ rushing yards and have had six games with five rushing touchdowns. Stopping the run game and forcing their opponent to turn to the passing game is the best scenario for this North Allegheny team.
