His recruitment complete, Pine-Richland lineman Miguel Jackson can now concentrate on his 2020 senior season. He’s the second Ram to commit to the Flames program. Earlier this year Harrison Hayes committed to the Flames as well.  The 6-2, 240 Jackson had over 20 offers with the likes of Akron, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Army, Ball St, Eastern Michigan, Yale, Western Michigan and more wanting his services. Today he announced his decision on twitter:

We caught up with Miguel and asked him about his decision:

PFN: How long have you played football?

Miguel: I started playing flag football when I was 6 and started playing tackle football when I was 10.

PFN: Why did you choose to commit to the Flames?

Miguel: I chose Liberty because I felt like it was the best place that fits me and I built a great relationship with the coaching staff.

PFN: Why commit early?

Miguel: I committed early because I wanted to enroll in to college early and I wanted to focus on the team and win a state championship.

PFN: Who was your biggest influence at Liberty, who recruited you?

Miguel: Coach Aldridge was the one who was recruiting me. We built a great relationship in the past couple of months.

PFN: What are they getting in player like you?

Miguel: They are getting a game changer. I feel like I can’t be blocked and no one can keep up with me. Also I can play every position on the D Line.

PFN: What was the recruiting process like for you?

Miguel: I really enjoyed this process I know it was different with the previous classes but I still enjoyed everything.

PFN: How did the Covid 19 pandemic affect your decision?

Miguel: With everything going on with the COVID 19 pandemic I really didn’t have it affect my decision. Yea I wish I could’ve talked to the coaches in person but that was the only obstacle I faced. Other then that it really didn’t have an affect on my decision.

PFN: What position were you recruited for?

Miguel: They’re recruiting me for D Line. They said I can play any position on the D Line.

PFN: Do you know what you’d like to study?

Miguel: I’m going undecided but I want to major in something that has to do with sports.

PFN: What role did your parents play in your decision?

Miguel: My parents played a big role helping me research about the team and university. They also came up with me to the campus.

PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the Liberty program?

Miguel:  The most exciting thing about Liberty is they got a whole new coaching staff and they won a bowl game last year so they have a winning mentality.

PFN: What are you most looking forward to while playing for the Flames?

Miguel: The thing I’m most looking forward to is playing in college. I always wanted to play college football and I’m turning my dream into a reality.

PFN: Tell everyone out there in the Liberty football world something they’d never know about you until you told them:

Miguel: One thing people at Liberty probably didn’t know about me is that I can play the piano.

PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?

Miguel: My parents were my most influential people. They were with me since the start and I want to thank them for that.

PFN: What is it you’d like all your high school teammates and fans to know about your decision that you might have a hard time saying in person?

Miguel: One thing I would like to say to my teammates and fans is thank you for  being there for me for all these years I love y’all.
