
Pittsburgh Central Catholic’s Colsen Gatten Commits to Duke

On Wednesday afternoon Colsen Gatten announced his commit to Duke to continue his football career. Gatten, a 6’1, 230-pound linebacker for Pittsburgh Central Catholic is ranked as the number one linebacker in Pennsylvania.
Gatten, who was a vital part of PCC’s WPIAL championship win last season, had 51 total tackles last season, 28 of which were solo. Gatten also boasted three interceptions last season for 36 yards and three fumble recoveries for 11 yards.
Gatten had over 20 D1 offers including Penn State, Pitt, Nebraska, West Virgina Syracuse, Notre Dame, Michigan, Maryland, Texas A&M, Temple, Purdue, Virgina Tech and Wake Forest.
Gatten, who will graduate from PCC in 2026, stated on Instagram following his commitment; “… a sincere thank you to all of my coaches from youth league to high school. Your dedication and guidance have shaped me into the player I am today.”
