Sieg leapfrogged two former Clairton Bears, Tyler Boyd and Lamont Wade, for the WPIAL touchdown record
Of Sieg’s 178, he has 60 passing touchdowns, 112 rushing, four off punt returns and two from interceptions returned for touchdowns.
Fort Cherry beat Monessen 55-6 in the record-breaking game, as Sieg ran for three touchdowns.
Through five games, Sieg has accounted for 17 touchdowns, according to Trib HSSN statistics. That’s an average of 3.4 touchdowns per game. If Sieg continues that pace through the final five games, he would have 17 more touchdowns, putting him near 200 all-time.
Fort Cherry’s remaining opponents are Burgettstown, Cornell, Bishop Canevin, Shenango and Serra Catholic.
