Peters Township got the ball to start the game. On the first play Logan Pfeuffer completed a pass down to the Bethel Park 38. After that the drive stalled on 2 incomplete passes.

Bethel Park started their first drive on their own  4 yard line. They ended up punting it away that drive. Later on in the quarter Peters Township started a drive with great field position thanks to a partially blocked punt. It started at the Bethel Park 26 yard line. After a couple plays Ryan Magiske scored on a 5 yard run. That made it 7-0 with 4:31 in the first quarter.

Bethel Park got the ball back but went 3 and out punting it back to Peters Township. They also started that drive with good field position. “We were able to change field position punting it” said Coach Plack.

On the third play of the drive Logan Pfeuffer connected with Ryan Magiske for a 19 yard touchdown making it 14-0 just 8 seconds into the second quarter. Magiske played a big role in the win. He had 18 carries for 116 yards. “He might be one of most underrated high school football players around, he is the toughest kid I’ve ever coached” said Coach Plack.

Bethel Park finally got on the board. A key play on that drive was a 34 yard pass. Eventually Anthony Chiccitt scored on a 1 yard keeper.

Peters Township came up with a huge response immediately after the Bethel Park touchdown when Josh Casilli returned a kick 90 yards to give Peters Township a 21-7 lead.

21-7 would be the score at the half. Bethel Park got the ball to start the second half. They would’ve had decent field position but after a couple penalties they started at their own 10 yard line. Another penalty cost them points when holding occurred in the end zone resulting in a safety to make it 23-7.

Peters Township started that drive with great field position at the Bethel Park 37 yard line. The drive featured a lot of runs and eventually Peters Township punched it in on a 3 yard run by Josh Casilli.

Another key in this game was Peters Township’s defense they held Bethel Park to 49 yards rushing and under 150 total yards. “It is hard for teams to run on us and when they have to throw the ball we have guys that can cover” said Coach Plack.

The fourth quarter moved fast with Peters Township possessing the ball the majority of the time and running it a lot. The final score ended up being 30-7.

Next week Bethel Park travels to Upper St. Clair and Peters Township looks to earn at least a share of the conference title when they travel to Baldwin.
