Last season the Steel Valley Ironmen went 1-5, and 0-3 in conference play. Neshannock went 4-3 with all their games being in conference. This season the script has been rewritten. Steel Valley is the number one seed in 2A football and Neshannock comes in as the 11 seed.

Steel Valley is on a 10-game win streak which is their longest streak since 2018. That season they won the 2A WPIAL championship.

The Ironman have two quarterbacks with 200+ yards passing, combined for eight touchdowns and only one interception. However where the Ironman shine best are on the ground. They have 5 rushers who have run for more than 300 yards, two over 600, and one who has over 1,300 yards in Cruce Brookins.

Senior QB Jonny Huff for the Lancers has been the team all star. He’s thrown for 923 yards, eight touchdowns and only one interception. He is also the Lancers leading rushing with 1,324 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Heading into the game, this is expected to be a rushing attack like no other. Both defenses will be challenged, however, only one will team will weather the storm.
