Penn-Trafford had to win one last game to clinch the Big East conference title outright. The Warriors did just that rolling to a 21-0 victory over Franklin Regional. The first score of the game would come on a reverse pass by the Warriors. Junior Brad Ford received the handoff, then he flipped the ball to fellow junior Ethan Carr then found senior Noah Allen wide open in the middle of the field. Allen would run the ball into the endzone to put the Warriors up 7-0. The second and final touchdown of the half would come when senior Gabe Dunlap for the Warriors would run 6 yards to extend Penn-Trafford’s lead to 14-0 at halftime.
The third quarter was all defense with neither team scoring. The final score of the game would come in the fourth quarter when Carr ran the ball 54 yards to the endzone to make the final score 21-0. The win clinched Penn-Trafford’s 9th outright conference title and 300th win. The playoff pairings will be announced early next week. Penn-Trafford and Franklin Regional both qualified for the playoffs with the Warriors being the projected number 1 seed in 5A. Both games will be played next Friday at times and locations that are to be determined.
