The Washington High School Prexies took on the Chartiers Houston Buccaneers in conference play in a one sided victory for Wash High. The scoring started by Carlos Harper for the Prexies takes a 25 yard run for a touchdown with 5:21 left in the first quarter. Turnovers were also a factor in the first quarter, with a Wash High fumble recovered by Chartiers Houston giving them great field possession, and Wash High’s Mario Griffin coming up with the interception to end the quarter.

The second quarter started hot for the Prexies’ as quarterback Davoun Fuse caught a double pass for a touchdown, putting them up 14-0 quickly into the second quarter. Fuse was also lighting it up in the passing game, as he found WR Ruben Gordon for a 35 yard touchdown pass, putting the Prexies up 21-0 with two minutes remaining in the first half. Wash High led 21-0 heading into halftime.

The second half was still all Wash High, as RB Zach Welsh punched in from the 2 yard line for the touchdown, Wash High taking the lead 9:52 left in the third quarter. Wash High’s Davoun Fuse had 3 touchdowns on the night, capping off a 35 yard bootleg keeper, giving Wash High a 35-0 lead with 2:07 left in the third quarter.

A scoreless fourth quarter sends Wash High home with a win 35-0 over Chartiers Houston.
