6A Quad County Conference:

Canon-McMillan Big Macs (1-1, 1-1) at Baldwin Highlanders (0-0, 1-0):  This game has been postponed due to covid-19 concerns at Baldwin.  Canon-McMillan picked up a huge win last week by defeating Mount Lebanon 24-17.  Chris Davis scored two touchdowns on a 90-yard kickoff return and a 64-yard reception.  Baldwin had their game last week at North Allegheny postponed by covid-19 concerns.

Hempfield Spartans (1-1, 1-1) at Mount Lebanon Blue Devils (0-1, 0-1):  Hempfield was shut out at home by Seneca Valley last week by a score of 38-0.  Mount Lebanon kicked off their season with a stunning 24-17 loss at Canon-McMillan.

North Allegheny Tigers (0-0, 1-0) at Central Catholic Vikings (2-0, 2-0):  An excellent matchup in the district this week.  North Allegheny had their home game against Baldwin postponed last week due to covid-19 concerns at Baldwin.  Central Catholic was in a battle last week at Norwin but escaped with a 38-28 win.

Norwin Knights (0-2, 0-2) at Seneca Valley Raiders (1-0, 1-0):  Norwin lost their second straight to start the season but battled Central Catholic at home, losing 38-28.  Nick Fleming scored on two touchdown runs.  Seneca Valley started their season with a big 38-0 win at Hempfield.

5A Allegheny Six Conference:

South Fayette Lions (0-0, 1-1) at Peters Township Indians (0-0, 1-0):  This game was originally scheduled for week one but was postponed for covid-19 concerns at Peters Township.  South Fayette lost a non-conference game at Chartiers Valley last week by a score of 9-7.  Peters Township started their season off last week with a big 24-21 non-conference win over Penn-Trafford.

5A Big East Conference:

No conference games

5A Northeast Conference:

Kiski Area Cavaliers (0-0, 1-0) at Penn Hills Indians (0-0, 0-2).  Saturday Night.  Kiski Area got their season started with a 36-35 last second win at Connellsville on Monday night.  Penn Hills lost their second game in a row where they scored only one touchdown, this time a 26-7 loss a Woodland Hills.

4A Big Eight Conference:

Belle Vernon Leopards (2-0, 2-0) at Thomas Jefferson Jaguars (2-0, 2-0):  The biggest game this week in the WPIAL in my opinion.  Belle Vernon has yet to give up a point and comes off a 45-0 drubbing of West Mifflin.  Thomas Jefferson is averaging 51.5 points through two games after beating Trinity 51-14 last week.

Laurel Highlands Mustangs (1-0, 1-1) at West Mifflin Titans (0-2, 0-2):  Laurel Highlands got on the winning side of the scoreboard with a 16-12 home win over Ringgold.  Rodney Gallagher caught six passes for 104 yards and ran for a touchdown in the win.  West Mifflin has yet to score this season and were blown out at Belle Vernon by a score of 45-0.

Trinity Hillers (1-1, 1-1) at McKeesport Tigers (0-1, 1-1):  Trinity couldn’t keep the winning streak alive as they lost 51-14 at home to Thomas Jefferson.  McKeesport stepped out of conference play last week and defeated New Castle at home 49-27.  Terrance Glenn ran for four touchdowns and 139 yards in the Tigers’ win.  Kenneth Thompson scored two touchdowns for McKeesport.

4A Greater Allegheny Conference:

Armstrong Riverhawks (1-1, 1-1) at Knoch Knights (0-2, 0-2):  Armstrong was shutout by Hampton last week at home by a score of 17-0.  Cadin Olsen threw for 112 yards.  Knoch was defeated at Greensburg Salem by a score of 13-12.

Greensburg Salem Golden Lions (1-1, 1-1) at Indiana Little Indians (0-2, 0-2):  Greensburg Salem got program win #700 last week with a 13-12 win over Knoch.  Indiana traveled to Plum last week and went home with a 48-10 loss.  Devin Flint ran for 146 yards and one touchdown in the loss.

Highlands Golden Rams (1-1, 1-1) at Hampton Talbots (1-1, 1-1):  Highlands is coming off a tough 12-7 loss at home to Mars.  Hampton made the long trip to Armstrong and kept them off the scoreboard with a 17-0 win.  Christian Liberto ran for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries for the Talbots.

Plum Mustangs (2-0, 2-0) at Mars Planets (2-0, 2-0):  This is a top five matchup in the district this week.  Plum is now averaging 42.0 points per game after a 48-10 win over Indiana last week.  Ryan Hubner threw for four touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Mustangs.  Mars traveled to Highlands and left with a 12-7 victory.

4A Parkway Conference:

No conference games

3A Allegheny Seven Conference:

Deer Lakes Lancers (0-2, 0-2) at Valley Vikings (0-2, 0-2):  Deer Lakes was blown out 31-7 at home last week against Derry.  Valley traveled to North Catholic last week and were sent home with a 51-6 defeat.

Freeport Yellowjackets (1-0, 1-1) at Derry Area Trojans (1-1, 1-1):  Freeport stepped out of the conference schedule last week and were defeated 48-14 at home by Apollo-Ridge.  Derry got their first win of the season with a 31-7 victory at Deer Lakes.

North Catholic Trojans (2-0, 2-0) at East Allegheny Wildcats (1-0, 2-0):  This is one of the top matchups in the district this week.  North Catholic is coming off a 51-6 home win over Valley and they are now averaging 53 points per game.  East Allegheny stepped back into conference play, after a week one non-conference win, and defeated Burrell 35-14.

3A Interstate Conference:

Mount Pleasant Vikings (1-0, 1-1) at Southmoreland Scotties (1-1, 1-1):  Mount Pleasant played a non-classification game against 5A Latrobe and lost 35-7.  Southmoreland picked up their first win with a 28-21 upset at South Allegheny.

South Allegheny Gladiators (0-2, 0-2) at Yough Cougars (0-1, 1-1):  South Allegheny is off to a surprising 0-2 start after losing 28-21 at home to Southmoreland.  Yough played their first conference game last week and narrowly lost 28-26 at South Park.

South Park Eagles (2-0, 2-0) at Brownsville Falcons (0-1, 0-2):  South Park started their season off with their second consecutive win, a 28-26 home victory over Yough.  Brownsville were shutout for the second straight week in a 45-0 loss at Elizabeth Forward.

2A Allegheny Conference:

No conference games

2A Century Conference:

Charleroi Cougars (0-2, 0-2) at Waynesburg Raiders (0-2, 0-2):  Charleroi was blown out for the second straight week but did get on the scoreboard in a 40-6 loss against McGuffey.  Waynesburg has also only scored one touchdown this season as they were shutout 55-0 last week at Washington.

Frazier Commodores (1-0, 1-1) at McGuffey Highlanders (2-0, 2-0):  Frazier saw their one-game winning streak come to an end with a 35-19 loss at home to Ligonier Valley.  Brayden Boggs threw for two touchdowns in the loss.  McGuffey continued their perfect start with a 40-6 win at Charleroi.

Washington Little Prexies (1-1, 1-1) at Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers (1-0, 1-1):  Washington bounced back after their opening loss with a 55-0 drubbing of Waynesburg.  Davoun Fuse threw for two touchdowns and Tashawn Levy accounted for two touchdowns in the win.  Chartiers-Houston got into the win column with a 21-6 conference win at Beth-Center.

2A Midwestern Conference:

Beaver Falls Tigers (2-0, 2-0) at Ellwood City Wolverines (0-2, 0-2):  Beaver Falls continued their hot start with a 29-14 home victory over Laurel.  Josh Hough ran for 202 yards and Shileak Livingstone ran for 103 yards and each scored two touchdowns in the victory.  Ellwood City has yet to crack the scoreboard after their 6-0 loss at New Brighton last week.

Neshannock Lancers (1-1, 1-1) at Freedom Bulldogs (1-1, 1-1):  Neshannock bounced back with a 37-22 win over Mohawk last Thursday.  Freedom fired their head coach last week and responded with a 21-0 win at Riverside.  Cole Beck threw for 235 yards and connected on three touchdown passes with Reiker Welling, who caught five passes for 161 yards.

New Brighton Lions (2-0, 2-0) at Mohawk Warriors (1-1, 1-1):  New Brighton continued their winning streak with a 6-0 win at home against Ellwood City.  Nya Greene ran for 147 yards and scored the only touchdown of the game.  Mohawk couldn’t carry momentum from their week one victory and fell at Neshannock by a score of 37-22.

Riverside Panthers (0-2, 0-2) at Laurel Spartans (1-1, 1-1):  Riverside is coming off a 21-0 shutout at home against Freedom.  Laurel traveled to Beaver Falls last week and played them tough, losing 29-14.

2A Three Rivers Conference:

No conference games

1A Big Seven Conference:

Northgate Flames (0-2, 0-2) at Union Scotties (0-2, 0-2):  Northgate has a long losing streak entering this game as they were defeated 27-6 last week by Cornell.  Union lost 54-24 at Rochester last week.  Tyler Staub threw for three touchdowns in the loss.

OLSH Chargers (2-0, 2-0) at Fort Cherry Rangers (0-2, 0-2):  OLSH got a massive win last week with a 41-0 triumph over Burgettstown.  Jay Pearson returned the opening kick for an 85-yard touchdown and accounted for three other touchdowns for the Chargers.  Fort Cherry were on the opposite end of a blowout as they lost 44-0 at Shenango.

Rochester Rams (2-0, 2-0) at Burgettstown Blue Devils (1-1, 1-1):  Rochester lit up the scoreboard for the second consecutive week in a 54-24 rout of Union.  Sal Laure rushed for 226 yards and five touchdowns while Denny Robinson added two touchdowns and 113 rushing yards in the win.  Burgettstown were handed their first loss of the season by a score of 41-0 at OLSH.

Shenango Wildcats (2-0, 2-0) at Cornell Raiders (1-1, 1-1):  Shenango hosted Fort Cherry last Saturday and sent them home with a 44-0 drubbing.  Cornell got in the win column with a 27-6 victory at Northgate.  Tim Henderson ran for two touchdowns for the Raiders.

1A Eastern Conference:

Bishop Canevin Crusaders (1-1, 1-1) at Greensburg CC Centurions (1-1, 1-1):  Bishop Canevin was handed their first loss of the season last week by a score of 40-20 at the hands of Springdale.  Greensburg CC bounced back after their shocking week one loss with a 26-0 win at Imani Christian.

Imani Christian Saints (0-2, 0-2) at Jeannette Jayhawks (1-1, 1-1):  Imani Christian are coming off a 26-0 shutout loss against Greensburg CC.  Jeannette rebounded from their opening loss with a 55-6 win at Riverview on Saturday.

Leechburg Blue Devils (1-1, 1-1) at Springdale Dynamos (2-0, 2-0):  Leechburg hosted Clairton last week and lost by a score of 59-14.  Springdale traveled to Bishop Canevin on Saturday night and went home with a 40-20 win.

Riverview Raiders (0-2, 0-2) at Clairton Bears (2-0, 2-0):  Riverview hosted Jeannette on Saturday afternoon and were blown out by a score of 55-6.  Clairton kept their season rolling with a 59-14 win at Leechburg.

1A Tri-County South Conference:

Avella Eagles (2-0, 2-0) at West Greene Pioneers (1-0, 1-0):  This game will be played on Thursday night.  Avella is off to a pleasant start after beating Jefferson-Morgan 26-8.  K.J. Rush threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns on 12 of 14 passing in the win.  West Greene had their game last week postponed due to covid-19 concerns.

California Trojans (1-0, 1-0) at Mapletown Maples (0-2, 0-2):  California had their last game postponed due to covid-19 concerns.  Mapletown have lost both of their games by a score of 43-8, the most recent at the hands of Carmichaels.

Carmichaels Mighty Mikes (2-0, 2-0) at Bentworth Bearcats (1-1, 1-1):  Carmichaels is looking to remain perfect as they are coming off a 43-8 win over Mapletown.  Trenton Carter threw six completions, all to Mike Stewart, for 138 yards, and three touchdowns.  Bailey Jones had 119 yards rushing and two touchdowns.  Bentworth got in the win column last week with a 14-6 win at Monessen.  Owen Petrisek scored on a 70-yard reception and an 18-yard run to lead the Bearcats.

Monessen Greyhounds (0-2, 0-2) at Jefferson-Morgan Rockets (0-2, 0-2):  Monessen hasn’t given up many points in two losses, including their 14-6 loss last week against Bentworth.  Jefferson-Morgan traveled to Avella last week and come home with a 26-8 loss.

Non-Conference:

Ambridge Bridgers (0-2) at Blackhawk Cougars (1-1):  Ambridge was shutout 44-0 at Aliquippa last week.  Blackhawk was defeated by Central Valley by a score of 49-6.

Avonworth Antelopes (1-1) at South Side Rams (1-1):  Avonworth is coming off a 28-13 home loss to Sto-Rox.  South Side picked up their first win last week, a 24-8 conference win over Carlynton.  Ryan Navarra ran for two touchdowns in the victory.

Burrell Buccaneeers (1-1) at Apollo-Ridge Vikings (2-0):  Burrell lost their first game of the year last week, a 35-14 conference setback to East Allegheny.  Apollo-Ridge defeated Freeport 48-14 last week and are averaging 46.0 points per game.

Carlynton Cougars (1-1) at Serra Catholic Eagles (1-0):  Carlynton traveled to South Side last week and were sent home with a 24-8 loss.  Serra Catholic kicked off their season with a 50-25 win at Seton LaSalle.

Central Valley Warriors (2-0) at New Castle Red Hurricane (0-2):  Central Valley are coming off a 49-6 win over Blackhawk.  New Castle took the long trip to McKeesport and were sent home with a 49-27 defeat.

Chartiers Valley Colts (2-0) at Hopewell Vikings (0-2):  Chartiers Valley has started their season with two upsets, including a 9-7 victory over South Fayette last week.  Hopewell was defeated 27-12 at Montour last week.  Micah Kimbrough accounted for both touchdowns for the Vikings, one throwing and one rushing.

Elizabeth Forward Warriors (1-0) at Beth-Center Bulldogs (1-1):  Elizabeth Forward kicked off their season with a 45-0 win over Brownsville.  Beth-Center lost their first game of the season last week, a 21-6 setback to Chartiers-Houston.

Fox Chapel Foxes (0-2) at Moon Tigers (2-0):  Fox Chapel lost 42-20 at home to Franklin Regional.  Justin Rice scored two rushing touchdowns for the Foxes.  Moon blanked North Hills on the road by a score of 17-0.  Dustin Sleva ran for two touchdowns in the victory.

Franklin Regional Panthers (1-1) at Bethel Park Blackhawks (0-2): Franklin Regional bounced back after a week one loss to defeat Fox Chapel 42-20.  Trevor Brncic was 16 of 20 for 196 years and three touchdowns for the Panthers.  Bethel Park traveled to Gateway and were sent home with a 55-14 loss.  Troy Volpatti scored on a blocked field goal for the Blackhawks.

Gateway Gators (2-0) at Pine-Richland Rams (2-0):  This would be one of the top games in the WPIAL this week had it been a conference game, but it is still a big matchup in 5A.  Gateway are rolling early on and defeated Bethel Park 55-14 last week.  Carsen Engleka threw for 240 yards and four touchdowns while Derrick Davis ran for 157 yards and four touchdowns for the Gators.  Pine-Richland are also clicking on all cylinders and went to Upper St Clair last week and won 34-13.

Montour Spartans (1-1) at Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles (2-0):  Montour got into the win column with a 27-12 triumph over Hopewell.  Gannon Kadlecik rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown in the win.  Keystone Oaks won a shootout at Steel Valley last week by a score of 44-36.  Logan Shrubb ran for 231 yards, threw for 226 yards, and accounted for four touchdowns in the win.

Quaker Valley Quakers (0-2) at Aliquippa Quips (2-0):  Quaker Valley were defeated 37-20 at home by Brentwood.  Aliquippa scored 44 in a second straight week with a 44-0 win over Ambridge.  Vaughn Morris threw for three touchdowns and Vernon Redd ran for two touchdowns in the win.

Shady Side Academy Indians (0-0) at Sto-Rox Vikings (1-1):  Shady Side Academy is opening their season after delaying due to covid-19 concerns.  Sto-Rox bounced back from their forfeit to beat Avonworth 28-13.

Shaler Titans (0-2) at Penn-Trafford Warriors (1-1):  Shaler scored 7 points for a second straight week in a 40-7 defeat to West Allegheny.  Penn-Trafford are coming off a 24-21 loss in a key non-conference game at Peters Township.

Steel Valley Ironmen (0-1) at Brentwood Spartans (2-0):  Steel Valley opened their season with a 44-36 loss to Keystone Oaks.  NiJhay Burt ran for four touchdowns and 175 yards in the loss.  Brentwood continued their hot start with a 37-20 win at Quaker Valley.

Uniontown Red Raiders (0-0) at Ringgold Rams (0-2):  Uniontown begins their season after their school board changed their mind and decided to play sports.  They will play an independent schedule this year.  Ringgold lost their second straight game to open the season, this time a 16-12 loss at Laurel Highlands.  Landon Oslowski ran for 100 yards for the Rams.

Upper St Clair Panthers (1-1) at Latrobe Wildcats (1-1):  Upper St Clair hosted Pine-Richland last week and lost 34-13.  Latrobe got into the win column with a 35-7 triumph at Mount Pleasant.

Woodland Hills Wolverines (2-0) at North Hills Indians (1-1):  Woodland Hills picked up a 26-7 win against rival Penn Hills.  North Hills was shutout 1-0 at home last week against Moon.

Ligonier Valley Rams (1-1) at Western Beaver Golden Beavers (2-0):  Saturday Afternoon.  Ligonier Valley picked up their first win in the WPIAL in over 50 years as they defeated Frazier 35-19.  Haden Sierocky and Grant Dowden each scored two touchdowns in the win.  Western Beaver jumped two classifications last Saturday night and defeated 4A Beaver by a score of 22-14.

Beaver Bobcats (0-2) at Seton LaSalle Rebels (0-2):  Saturday Night.  Beaver are coming off a 22-14 loss last Saturday night to 2A Western Beaver.  Seton LaSalle were defeated 50-25 at home to Serra Catholic.

Connellsville Falcons (0-2) at West Allegheny Indians (1-1):  Saturday Night.  Connellsville lost 36-35 at home to Kiski Area in a special Monday night game.  West Allegheny traveled to Shaler and went home with a 40-7.
