Westinghouse came into this season with high expectations and a big chip on their back after losing the City League final last year to Allderdice. So far this year, they have made an example out of all comers. They have dispatched Clairton, Steel High, Perry and now University in swift order after taking down USO 55-12.

The game started out competitively with teams tradingĀ scores in the first quarter and House coming out ahead powered by Keyshawn Morsillo leading the way to a 13-6 advantage.

In the second, Roderick Jeter punched in a TD from 3 yards out to extend the lead to 20-6. Daniel Cain took the ensuing kickoff back 85 yards for a TD to cut the lead to 20-12 but Morsillo added anotherĀ TD to make it 27-12 at the break.

Sincere Smith took the kickoff back 78 yards for a House TD and Osavio Martin’s PAT extended the lead to 34-12. Jeter and Kahlil Taylor added TDs early in the fourth to put it away for Westinghouse. Backup QB Khalil Green added a deep TD pass to Davon Jones to make it 55-12 with 3:40 to go in the game.

Westinghouse will face Allderdice in a battle of City League favorites next Thursday. University is back in action on Friday vs Carrick.
