Who is your favorite sports star and why?
My favorite sports star is Tom Brady because he plays with passion and emotion like he has never won a Super Bowl. He has the mind set that no matter how good he is he always has to earn everything when he steps on the field.
Why do you play football?
I play football because I love the sport and what it gives to me. It is more than just players running around hitting each other. It has adversity, team building, and life lessons. The most fun part of the game to me is the mental approach. I love being the leader on the field. I love the strategies involved. It is like a chess game on steroids.
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
I would watch Remember the Titans everyday. It has so much more to it than football while also being a classic gritty football movie that everyone loves.
What cartoon character do you think your head coach most resembles.
Dexter from Dexter’s Laboratory. Coach Marshall is always thinking of new schemes and plays and new ways to make sure we are “always right” and the defense is “always wrong.” He is always whipping up new ways to give our team the edge.
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
My parents know I do not usually like them yelling down to me on the field in front of everyone so when they do it’s usually something like good job or maybe something encouraging.
Tell everyone something about you that would make them laugh out loud:
When I was in elementary school, I had a doctors appointment in Pittsburgh. I got into the car and two hours later we were in Pittsburgh and I realized I had forgotten to put a pair of shoes on before I got into the car. I had to walk into a store with my socks on and get a pair of shoes.
What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
In my freshman year of basketball I was so worked up and too into the game I got an inbound pass and tried to score a basket on the other teams hoop.
Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
My brother. After every game I play he always asks me a million questions about what happened and what I was thinking or why we did this and not that and he is always interested in the games.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
I am usually fishing because it is calming for me and something I can do to clear my head.
