Coach Bowley says “Charlie is going to be a Senior Quarterback, coming back off of a Junior season he missed due to injury. His rehab is going well and he working hard to make sure he is in the best possible shape for his senior season. He is a very good athlete, has a high football IQ, and is a fierce competitor. Charlie is going to be a vital part for us on both sides of the ball. We are excited to have a healthy Charlie back leading The Raiders this season”.

Why do you play football?

I play football because it’s a team sport and there’s no other sport where you can go out there and hit someone and get anything for it.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most? 

When it’s gameday I look forward to looking across the field and seeing the other team and looking to see if they are ready to play or not.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

My favorite sports star is Aaron Rodgers just because he has been in the league for so long and has always put up consistent numbers.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

My favorite play was back in 8th grade when I was playing defensive end and stripped the running back and took it for a touchdown

What was last years season like for you?

Last season for me was just rehabbing back from an acl injury. The rehab really helped me become a better athlete and really improved my mindset towards a lot of things.

What are your goals for this coming season?

I have goals that I look at every morning and I like to keep them close so no one knows but for myself. But one team goal I have is always be better than the year before.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Best player I have ever lined up against was probably in practice and there’s a couple. Brayden Kunselmen, Noah Peterson, Jack Krug, Nathan Taylor and Robert Keth.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

For a game I would love to visit an Ohio State vs Penn State game

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

My favorite pro team is definitely wherever Lebron goes to he always has impact on whatever team he goes to

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

My favorite game I watched was when Oregon played Ohio State in the national championship

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

They aren’t usually yelling my mom is throwing her cowbell around.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Probably play defensive end again

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My mentor is my brother Jack because he has taught me everything I know in my career as a Qb and just puts in a perspective where we both understand.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

My go to activity is hanging out with boys or playing video games

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Playing football with my brothers

What is your favorite play to run?

Definitely spacing

What scares you the most?

Playing my last sport event ever
