Coach Justin Bienkowski: “Peyton fulfilled all of our expectations last season. We knew he was going to be the guy that could sneak up on teams. He put himself on the map last season. Due to graduation, Peyton is expected to step into a much larger role as a senior. Peyton is one of the strongest kids on our team and is one of the most coachable kids we’ve ever had”.

LET’S GET TO KNOW PEYTON

Why do you play football?

I play football because it’s been a huge part of my life forever. I love the sense of family as a team and cherish the memories that I’ve made.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

My favorite sports star is Joe Burrow because he is humble but still has some swagger to him.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

My favorite play was scoring the game winning touchdown against Redbank Valley last year. The game was super hyped up and being able to score to help put us ahead was awesome. Hearing the crowd go nuts made it even better.

What was last years season like for you?

Last year was good for me. I felt like I improved a lot from my sophomore year. Making a run deep into the playoffs was a lot of fun and it made me want more.

What are your goals for this coming season?

My goal for this year is to help lead us back to the final four and to the state championship. I also want to have 1,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

My teammate Noah Archer.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Beaver Stadium

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh Steelers

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Penn State vs USC in the 2017 Rose Bowl. It was a high scoring game that came down to the last seconds. Even though Penn State lost, I liked watching Trace McSorley, Saquon Barkley, and Chris Godwin play together for the last time.

What would you do to improve the recruiting process?

Do more to get my name out there. Contact more coaches.

Describe what the perfect teammate is

Someone who pushes you to do better. Someone who can have fun but still be serious when they need to be. Someone who puts the team before themselves.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

I think football is good for a community because it brings everyone together on Friday nights and it gives everyone a sense of pride in their town when the team succeeds.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Get an offer from Penn State.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My mentor is my dad. He is the hardest working person I know and he inspires me to strive to reach my goals.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

My favorite practice drill is the Oklahoma drill. My least favorite football drill is tackling drills on dummies.

Preseason Two a Days are:

Where you make or break your season.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My sister because she is always supporting me.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I like to hangout with my friends and family because they take my mind off sports for a little bit and I can just relax and have fun.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

My favorite football memory is dancing and being excited in the locker room after winning the district championship. It was nice to see everything we worked for pay off but everyone knew that we had more to do.

What is your favorite play to run?

Sweeps because I like to have my linenmen put in front me in the open field.

is a hot dog a sandwich?

I’d consider it more of a hoagie than a sandwich.

Music of choice:

Country

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?

A Pennywise backplate that gets passed down to a player in the grade below.

Best Pizza topping?

Bacon

Which one? Sheetz or Wawa

Sheetz

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Ocean City
