Justin Bienkowski says “Carson has shown to be the anchor in the middle of both of our Off and Def lines. He moved from center to guard, which allows him to be more versatile climbing to LBs as well as pulling down the line. He commands a double team defensively. Watching Carson attack “the process” of preparing to be a great athlete is as neat as you could imagine. He has made himself into a top notch wrestler and football player simply because of his work ethic and drive to be great. He was a state medalist in wrestling at Heavyweight along with his impact on our football team”.

LET’S GET TO KNOW CARSON

Why do you play football?

I play football because it helps me be who I am, it’s my safe spot. Whenever i’m upset i’ll go to the football field or the weight room. If there is ever anything wrong football is always there.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

On gameday, im looking forward to going to war with my brothers. Being ready to crush anything in our way to a victory.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Coach McDermott, the way he coaches is different from everyone else. The way he is respected from his players is something I strive to get from my teammates. His mindset is next level and I believe that is because of his wrestling background.

What was last years season like for you?

Last year we made it the the final four in the state playoffs. It was some of the most fun i’ve ever had, spending that much time with my teammates we really became a family. Being able to play the sport I love for that long was just incredible.

What are your goals for this coming season?

My goals are to have 10+ sacks, 15+ TFL’s and to have 80+ tackles then be state champs!!

I would love to visit Penn State for a college game. Seeing the fans during the game on television seems like a great atmosphere.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Buffalo Bills are my favorite NFL team.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Bills vs Chiefs AFC championship game. When the Bills scored with 13 seconds left with the lead, the Chiefs still found a way to drive down the field to score and end up winning the game. This is my favorite game because of the lesson that was learned from it, no matter what always keep playing no matter the score keep playing.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

The sports movie I would watch all day and every day is Any Given Sunday. This is the movie I would pick because it tells you about football and life, how it’s a game of inches.

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

They normally tell me that it’s won in the trenches tonight!

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My uncle and my dad are my mentors. They have taught me everything I know, my uncle played college football. My dad was a mean running RB, they have showed me how to be the person that I am today.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

The first play of the game and of the season I jumped offside.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My uncle, my uncle has coached me in wrestling since I was 3 and hasn’t stopped yet, he always points me in the right direction.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Spending time with my family, helping my younger cousin get ready and prepared for what he’s about to go through and help him be the best he can be.
