COACH SAYS: Ben is an All-State Center and a D9 league D-Lineman of the year. Ben will continue to anchor our offensive and defensive lines. Ben might be the scariest player I have ever coached. As a former lineman, that is about as good of a compliment as I could give you. His strength is elite in the weight room, but his power and explosion are what makes him scary. We as coaches tend to do drills with Ben in practice out of fear he may hurt somebody.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete for the Brockway Rovers?
The best part about being a student athlete at Brockway is the heavy support from the entire town. It doesn’t matter what sport, the entire town of Brockway will always support its athletes.

Why do you play football?
I started playing when I was 8. I always watched the NFL and thought the big hits were cool. and I thought it would be really cool to go do that to people. However as I have grown with the game, I have realized football is so much more than just that. Football builds a character, it gives you a toughness and resilience that not many have. That is why I play football, because of the character it builds in you.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
I have been playing for nine years, and this upcoming season will be both my Senior season and my tenth season.

It’s GameDay !! What are you looking forward to the most ?
Kickoff. As soon as I wake up on gameday, my mind is already geared up for game time.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
I would want to be on offense. This is because the offense already has an advantage over the defense. They know what is coming next. The offense starts off one step ahead. If you can get all eleven guys on the field to execute, you will come up big in that game on the line situation.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
My biggest achievement as an athlete is either winning a district championship or winning the defensive line MVP award last season.

What was the high point of the 2024 season ?
Finally winning the district championship that we all worked months for.

What are your goals for the 2025 season ?
To put another number on our banner, and make a run in the state playoffs.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2025 ?
They were just a great group of people, they always pushed everyone around them to be better. The leadership of that class is going to be missed going into next season.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
The Pittsburgh Steelers. Even though in my lifetime I haven’t seen too much success, the culture of being a Steelers fan is special and they are just a fun team to watch.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Play any skill position. Just get a chance to get the ball.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Just hang out and have fun with my two siblings. Whether it’s playing some sort of game, just goofing off, whatever. It is always fun to do stuff with them.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
I have to say Sheetz, just because I have never been to either Wawa or Rutters.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
Me and my family have gone to Sunset Beach, North Carolina a few times and every time it is amazing. Anything to do with a beach is an amazing vacation destination.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
My favorite fast food restaurant is definitely Taco Bell. The only reason I can think of is just that it is good.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
I have been to Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins games.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
As much as I want to say the NFL is the best, I think College Football is starting to make an argument. The environment that college football brings is electric. You can feel it even through a TV. The games are also really good and fun to watch.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
I like to play Madden and NBA2K.

What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
My go to is always just a mushroom pizza. Can’t go wrong with it.

Favorite School Subject ?
I enjoy any class that has to do with science, so I would have to say that science is my favorite subject.

Favorite Band/Musician ?
I don’t have just one band or musician that I would call my favorite. I listen to a wide variety of music that skips over a lot of genres. Some of the music is older, some newer. My music taste skips around too much to be able to pick a favorite.

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
If I travel anywhere, I would just drive my truck. I don’t believe I would really want to go anywhere outside of the US. I would probably end up just driving to a beach somewhere.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
The one thing in life that I want to achieve is a family of my own. I want to get married, have kids, and live my life taking care of the people I love. That would be the biggest achievement of my life.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
In an urban area that is just outside of a city. It has the same feel of a city but without the traffic and noise of a city.
