Coach Says: Madox is a returning TCW/Courier Express All-Star at Defensive End having led all of D9 in sacks (13). Madox started his Freshmen year at TE standing at 6’4 with great ball skills. We had to convert him to tackle for his Sophomore season out of need. He immediately dominated on both sides of the ball. Madox is the type of player you can put anywhere. He has started at MLB, Wing, TE, DE, Tackle, WR. He is dedicated to his craft and a natural leader.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete for the Brockway Rovers ?
The community, they’re always coming out for every game and showing their love for our team.

Why do you play football ?
I enjoy it, I’ve loved it since second grade. I also like tackling people.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
Since second grade, so about 8 years.

It’s GameDay !! What are you looking forward to the most ?
The pregame speeches, then the runout, I always get chills.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
The best away game was the playoff game in Bradford against Port Allegany my Freshman year. I was very nervous since I had never played in a game that important in my life.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
Probably defense since I can get a big sack or a forced fumble to end the game.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
Winning the D9 title last year, and leading the district in sacks.

What was the high point of the 2024 season ?
Winning the D9 title.

What are your goals for the 2025 season ?
To win another D9 title, make a better run in the state playoffs, and to have more sacks than last season.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2025 ?
They’re leadership, they were great people and even better leaders, I’m going to miss this year’s seniors.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like the most, and why ?
I have two mentors, my defensive line coach, Coach Joe and my wrestling coach, Coach Braddock, they’re both fun and exciting people and I love their energy it’s make me want to be better.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
JJ Watt, he was always my favorite because he made big plays at DE.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
Against Keystone on 4th and 1, I stuffed a run to end the game.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
The best players I’ve played against are Misca Young from Port Allegany and Jimmy Kerr from Central Clarion, and in practice it would have to be Ja Wherry and Reese Yahner.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
Beaver Stadium is my favorite stadium, it’s always electric.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
The Steelers, growing up in Pennsylvania everyone loves the Steelers so I do too.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
My favorite game I’ve ever watched was the playoff game when Brockway beat Redbank my 8th grade year.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
The Waterboy, it’s so funny and also really entertaining. It’s been my favorite movie my whole life.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Play TE for the whole season.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Golf, because it’s the same season as football.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
Getting juked out multiple times against Redbank.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Usually playing golf or hanging out with friends. I like having fun with my group of friends doing anything.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Definitely Sheetz, their food is very good.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
Outer Banks, my family goes down there all the time.

If you were handed a lot of money, what would be the first thing you would do with it ?
Help my parents with anything, and save it for college.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
Sharks

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
I like Wendy’s, especially the Baconator.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
No, I’ve only ever been to college games.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NCAA football is the best, it’s the most exciting to watch.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
Probably College Football 25

I like meat lovers pizza

Airplane to California so I can golf and go to the beach.

Have a happy family and become wealthy.

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
I would like to live on the beach, I’ve always enjoyed going there.
