Coach Says: Reed returns for his senior season to play running back and linebacker. Reed is a tough wrestler that brings that mentality to the football field along with excellent leadership ability. He is a player that will do anything asked of him and he’s had a great offseason training for the upcoming season.

Why do you play football?

Because I have loved the game since I was a kid.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?

The Pre-game feeling.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Cael Sanderson. For the success and character he had on the mat and off the mat.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

I remember when we were down by a touchdown and there was like 2 minutes left and Windber was driving down the field. I ended up intercepting the ball and almost ran it back for a touchdown, but got tripped up at their 30 yard line. We ended up losing, but everyone was going crazy and that was my first game where I showed my true ability.

What was last years season like for you?

It was my first season back since Junior High football. However, it was one of the most frustrating seasons I have ever had. We were so close to beating some good teams, we just couldn’t pull it together AS a team. Thats why I believe we lost so many games. We didn’t play as a team enough.

What are your goals for this coming season?

To be a leader and ensure that we, like I said before, play as a team. If we can do that, we can beat anyone.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Mason Campagna

When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play?

Lane Kiffin

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Tennessee

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Pittsburgh Steelers

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

When Penn State beat Ohio State in 2016, Ive rewatched the highlights about 20 times

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

The movie Greater. It shows how hard work and consistency on and off the field lead to greatness and success. It also shows just how unpredictable life can be.

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

Usually just “Go reed” or “Be Smart”

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Get 1000 rushing yards in a season and 100 tackles

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

I want to be like my dad. My dad has helped me and gave me advice my whole life, and has never done me wrong. He is successful and believes in me always.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

Hockey

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

I mean it might not be like obvious to the crowd but on 26 lead I led block to the left on accident and it got my tailback killed. I felt terrible.

If you could only drive one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A dodge truck

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Fishing, it relaxes my mind and is difficult sometimes. I enjoy the challenge and just getting away from everyone.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Getting a 75 yard kickoff touchdown.

What is your favorite play to run?

32 dive

What scares you the most?

Losing confidence

Music of choice:

Rock

What is the most food you ever ate in one sitting?

A 2 lb bowl of chicken alfredo after a wrestling tournament

What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?

Depends. Either Olive garden (carbs) or Texas Roadhouse

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Florida

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

A home Curwensville one when I was like 5 years old. I remember eating a big jawbreaker lollipop.
