Clearfield trounced Bellefonte 55-16 last night. That win, coupled with Penns Valley’s win over Tyrone gave the Bison and coach Tim Janocko their 12 Mountain League title. It’s also the last Mountain League title that can ever be won as the league will fold at the end of the 2022-23 cycle and join with the Heritage conference. Clearfield finishes ML play with a 5-1 league record and gets the title over 5-1 BEA due to head to head win on September 2.  Tyrone and Penns Valley each finish with a 4-2 league record.

“It’s pretty neat, we thought we’d get a share of it. We (the Mountain League coaches) are all pretty close so this is special.”  1995 was Clearfield’s last losing season.  “Want accumulate points, get that first seed in District 9.”
