Two more Slippery Rock touchdowns, with successful PATs, moved the score to 31-0, through three. Another Rocket touchdown in the fourth moved the score to 38-0. Central set the final at 38-7, on a three yard touchdown run by Ryan Hummell, at 5:57 and the successful point after.

The Wildcats will return to action, this Friday (September 3rd), as they travel to Moniteau. Slippery Rock had a wonderful Military Tribute prior to the game. They had a huge flag displayed from a hook and ladder truck. They honored service current members and Veterans, with approximately twenty to twenty-five of these heroes lined up on the field as their names, branch in which they served and years of service were announced. They also mentioned Wildcats’ player Hayden Haines, who has committed to enter military service as soon as he graduates, as a member of the U.S. Army.

Then, all current military personnel and Veteran’s, throughout the stadium (Central Clarion or Slippery Rock), were asked stand and be recognized for their service. As part of the fine patriotic ceremonies, the Rockets and Wildcats joined together to display a huge flag on the field as the Slippery Rock Band played the National Anthem. Great tribute to our military!!!!
