I could not find updated current rosters so I will be using the players numbers instead of their names.

This game was played at Stone Castle Stadium in Bristol, Tennessee and for me, it was great because I was supposed to have taken in a game at this historical stadium last fall but covid restrictions took this away. The game would quickly start very well for the Falcons when #23 took the opening kickoff into Gate City territory. One play later #40 for the Falcons sprinted forty-yards for the games first score. From there just one play later big number 40 sprinted in for a forty-yard touchdown. #35 blasted the P.A.T. making this a 7-0 game just one minute and twenty seconds into the game.

Gates City offense responded with a nice catch from #11, who survived a gigantic hit to make the catch. But Uncle Mo would jump right back on the Falcons side with #55 getting a big sack on the Blue Devils quarterback just eighteen seconds later. The Falcons would get a fourteen-yard touchdown run from #23 with another P.A.T. we had ourselves a 14-0 game, with 8;19 left in the quarter.

Gate City tried to respond on the kickoff return but a holding penalty negated a big return then twenty-three seconds later #10 for the Falcons picked off a pass and took it to the house. The touchdown was called back but the Falcons one again had the ball. The Blue Devils defense would hold the potent Falcons offense to zero points on the drive to keep this a 114-0 game.

#11 for Gate City would make a nice catch to pick up nineteen-yards, with 5:17 left in the quarter. There would be no more scoring in the fast pace opening stanza as the rain seemed to slow things down. The Falcons needed just nine seconds of the second quarter to make this a 21-0 game with #2 scoring on a 25-yard catch. With 11:37 left in the half, the Blue Devils appeared to have a fifty-eight-yard touchdown catch by #2 but a false start penalty killed the score. Not letting the flag kill the drive the Blue Devils would get a score just twelve seconds later when #11 hauled in a forty-eight-yard pass from #10. The P.A.T. off of the foot of #3 made this a 21-7 game and brought some hope to the Blue Devils crowd. That hope was dashed when #24 from the Falcons took the ensuing kickoff 75-yards for another Falcons score, after the P.A.T. the score was 28-7.

Two minutes later the Falcons got a pick from #2 on a bad pass by #10. After a nineteen-yard catch from #44 of the Falcons #23 would go forty-yards for another score. #23 read his blocks well and made the score look very easy. #35 made this a 35-7 game with his P.A.T. Just fifteen seconds later the score swelled to 41-7 on a twenty-yard catch by #20.

Gate City would execute the perfect halfback pass with #2 hitting #22 for a fifty-yard touchdown to make this a 41-14 game with 7:09 left in the half. At this point, the game had long been over but Gate City never seemed to quit, and this play really showed their heart. The rest of the half was pretty exciting starting with #54 from Gate City getting a sack. Then it was a #22 from the Blue Devils getting a pick. The Falcons defense would get into the action when # 22 stuffed #23 for a loss of four.

Then the Falcons offense got another score from #2 on a fourteen-yard run to make this a 48-14 game, after the P.A.T. was again good with 2:16 left in the half. The missed P.A.T. kept this from being a running clock game to start the second half but it did not take long for the Falcons to get that into effect.

The third quarter would see the Falcons score on a twelve-yard pass play with #1 hitting #2 for the score to make this a 55-14 game. With just forty-four seconds left in the quarter, the Blue Devils #10 fumbled the ball pouncing on it for the Falcons was #70. That led to another Falcons score with #44 rumbling in from forty-seven-yards out making this a 62-14 game. Gate City would put the last points of the game on the board with 4:33 left when #10 sprinted in from eight yards out.
