First I want to thank Carroll County for allowing me to cover this one for PAFOOTBALLNEWS.

I am using the rosters for maxpreps.com, so I am hoping the numbers I have in my notes correspond with the numbers and names that they have.
Things started out as well as Carroll County probably could have hoped for when Brady Dalton jolted free and picked up 30-yards, then Tristan Peckron blasted off for a gain of eleven. The drive ended Dalton put the ball on the ground and making the recovery for Galax was Walker Bobbitt. All of this happened in the first:58 seconds of the game. With 7:25 left on the clock, Carroll County faced a third and two and gave the ball to Dalton was stopped by a host of Maroon Tide players led by #30 (NOT ON THE ROSTER) for no gain. Then on fourth and two, the Cavaliers tried their luck again by giving the ball to Peckron and he was stopped by #66 (NOT ON THE ROSTER), and the rest of the defensive line well short of the yardage needed to move the chains. With 6:52 left in the quarter came on a 34-yard pass from Cole Picket to #16 (NOT ON THE ROSTER) for a big Galax first down. The six-play forty-nine-yard drive ended on a seven-yard touchdown run by #4 (NOT ON THE ROSTER) making this a 6-0 game, with 4:47 showing on the clock.
Carroll County would get a 17-yard catch from Sylas Sechristto get things going for the Cavilers on their next drive. The Galax defense responded when #57 and #9 (NEITHER ON THE ROSTER) held Dalton for no gain. With 3:04 left in the quarter, Denver Brown made a leaping interception, then he followed that up with a diving catch for a gain of thirty-two-yards giving the Maroon Tide another first down. Nine seconds into the 2nd quarter Picket found Bobbitt for a twenty-four-yard touchdown. Javier Gallardo was true this time on the P.A.T. making this a 13-0 game. The drive went for eighty-yards and lasted for ten plays.
Dalton would be sacked by #50 (NOT ON THE ROSTER) for a five-yard loss. That would bring up a third and nineteen which led to a punt. Galax would go to the air with #3 (NOT ON THE ROSTER) making a nice catch for a gain of seventeen-yards. The drive fizzled out shortly after. Bobbitt would get a nice diving pick with 4:11 left in the half showing he is a threat on both sides of the ball. One play later Pickett broke to his left and did not stop until he hit pay dirt. After Gallardo nailed the P.A.T. we had a 20-0 game.
The Maroon Tide would get a thirty-four-yard run from #4 (NOT ON THE ROSTER) setting up a Pickett to Brown thirty-three-yard touchdown, with the P.A.T. the scoreboard read 27-0, with 1:03 left on the clock. The Galax defense made the last big play of the half when Isaac Hawks recovered a bad pitch from Dalton.
The Galax kickoff return team came up big on the opening kickoff of the 2nd half when Javonte Reeves took the ball all the way to the Cav’s twenty-fie-yard-line. Three plays later #9 (NOT ON THE ROSTER) plowed into the end zone making this a 34-0 game. Dalton would be sacked by Joshua Brown four a five-yard loss to bring up fourth and twenty for the Cavs. The clock read 7:30 when #66 and company got to Tristan Peckron for a big twelve-yard-loss. Galax would get two more nice plays from its defense. First, #9 and # 30(NEITHER ON THE ROSTER) stopped Peckron for a loss of seven, then #66 and Cobey Adams sacked Dalton for a six-yard-loss.
The four-quarter would see Sylas Sechrist recover a fumble by #21 (NOT ON THE ROSTER) of Galax showing they were not going to quit no matter how much they were down. Pickett would score on a sweet thirty-three-yard run making this a 40-0 game. The Cavs defense recorded a sack on Brown for a five-yard loss with #5 (NOT ON THE ROSTER) doing the honors. The last big play of the game came on a twenty-yard run from Reeves putting a final stamp on the Galax win.
