Yesterday afternoon I made my 2nd trip to Bellaire, Ohio this season to watch the 3-1 Cambridge Bobcats battle the unbeaten Bellaire Big Reds. Last season the Bobcats defeated the Big Reds 31-20. This one would start off with Bellaire coming out in a five receiver set and throwing the ball all over the place until Davion Jeffrey picked off a pass and did not stop running until he had crossed the goal line. Lucas Parsons mail the point after kick making this a 7-0 game.

Bellaire soon put the pick-six behind them with Braydan Roth followed the lead of his offensive line to score from 5-yards out. Lucas Littell was true on his point-after kick locking this up at seven with 6:37 showing on the first-quarter clock. Each time Roth had his number called in this one he ran like an angry bull seeing red.

Kaden Kenworthy would score on a short run to put the Bobcats back out in front 14-7, with 3:36 showing on the clock. At this point it was looking like the last team with the ball was going to win and that stayed intact when Roth scored from three yards out. A bad snap on the point after try left this a one-point game with the Bobcats leading.

Bellaire would jump out in from on a Jake Heatherington two-yard run making this a 20-14 game with a little under three minutes left in the half. The  Bellaire defense would get a pick-six of their own right before the half ended with Khalil Kimbro doing the honors making this a 26-14 game. I am not sure if that was the straw that broke the back of the Bobcats but they never seemed to recover.

Cole Sechrest made this a 33-14 game with a short reception that turned into a 69-yard dash into the endzone. Sechrest has the talent to make defenses looked lost and enough speed to outrun many defenders. Kimbro got his 2nd pick-six of the game to make this a 39-14 game. The Sophomore could be a major pain in the side of any offense Bellaire plays for a long time to come if he can find a way to play at this level the rest of his high school career.

Drew White would be the workhouse on the last scoring drive of the game and as it should be he also scored the last points of the game with his short touchdown run giving us our 45-14 finals.
