I used the rosters from hudl.com and maxpreps.com neither was complete so any names missed, you can blame those responsible for getting the info to those two great sites.

Last night I made my 2nd drive to Vandalia to watch Butler, host West Carrollton in another Thursday night matchup. Butler came in 1-2, while West Carrollton came in 0-3. This game was predicted 41-13 by Calpreps, with Butler winning. Well when all was said and done Butler walked away with a 41-7 game that was never close.
Butler would get a sweet 28 yard run from #5 (Not on the roster) on a 3rd and one call. Then on fourth and four, Bobby Buckler would take the ball to the ten and then follow that up with a 3 yard touchdown run. The point after Nathan Bain made this a 7-0 game, with 6:55 left in the opening quarter. #2 for Butler blocked a West Carrollton punt to set up the next Butler score and that came on a 38 yard catch by #16. The point after made this a 14-0 game, with 4:44 showing on the clock. The score became 20-0 when #5 plowed in from 3 yards out, with 0:47 left in the first.

West Carrollton was able to get on the scoreboard when #27 rumbled in from 39 yards out. Tony Buckner got the hold down and Brent Paesler nailed the PAT to make this a 20-7 game, with 11″09 left in the half. #5 from Butler dashed in from 5 yards out to cap off a 9 play, 77 yard drive. The PAT made this a 27-7 game. #21 would recover a fumble by West Carrollton to give the ball back to the Aviators. From there Buckler scored from 14 yards out, after the PAT we had a 34-7 game, with 5:42 left on the clock. The games final score 42 yard pass by #12 to #4 with the PAT making the score 41-7.

The 2nd half flew by with the running clock, with Butler running 12 plays, while the Pirates ran 21. Butler threw four passes, while Butler threw zero. Butler would miss a short field goal, that was really short and wide left. That was as close as either team came to scoring.

UNOFFICIAL STATS

49 plays, 353 yards
Passing 8-10 2 TD’S

West Carrollton
