This game started Friday night, but lighting delayed the game until today at 5:30.
The only play that took place on Friday was the opening kickoff was returned for a touchdown by Whetstone.
The first play today was the PAT kick and the was good by Aidan Wilichowski to make this a 7-0 game, with just eleven seconds going off of the clock.
Linden, who only dressed 17 players started off with a lot of energy and that showed a lot when BrynDavion Haynes sprinted for 16 yards. the momentum would not last long because Martevion Hawkins teamed up with Ben Paugh to stop Travis Foster for a 7 yard loss. After getting the ball back the Braves (2-2) would need just four plays to go 49 yards to score again. After the PAT the score was 14-0, with 5:40 left in the opening quarter. The rest of the quarter belonged to the Braves. Elijah Rhein-Murray would stop Foster for a short loss, then a bad snap from center caused Kendrix Wilson to chase the ball and lose a lot of yards. Then with just 9 seconds left on the clock another bad snap again cause a big loss by Wilson.
The Braves would get a nice catch from Johney Kincaid on an Alex Hurd for 16 yards, but nothing else materialized and the quarter would snail along until the 5:29 mark, when a total of 32 points was scored. Rashaun Broomfield galloped for a 25 yard score, after the PAT the scoreboard read 21-0 Braves. Daviontae Kendrix Wilson put the ball on the turf and Darric McClinton Jr. scooped it up scored from about 43 yards out to make this a 28-0 score after the PAT. Wilson would connect with Shawn Blount Jr. for a for a 28 yard gain, then from there Hayes busted in to make this a 28-6 game.The Braves responded with a score of their own when, Broomfield used a nice juke move to go 52 yards, after the PAT we had ourselves a 35-6 game. The Panthers would score at the 1:25 mark of the quarter on a 5 yard run by Wilson to make the score 35-12. The Panthers defense would roar loudly to end the quarter, when #61 Grey sacked Hurd for a 12 yard loss.
The third quarter would see the Braves force a running clock when Hurd threw a Joe Willie Namath like pass deep down field and hit Broomfield for a 57 yard score, with the PAT this was 42-12 game. Hayes would put the ball on the ground and making the recovery for the Braves was Murray, with 8:02 left in the quarter. The ensuing drive fizzled and nothing more really happened until the 2:15 mark and that was when Bud Nutter sacked Wilson. The quarter ended with Jen’sire Germany getting to the Braves Khristian Watkins- Sellers for a 3 yard loss.
Another bad snap from the Panthers center the fourth of the game allowed Nutter to recover the ball and score from 7 yards out. The PAT made the score 49-12. with 9:00 left. The rest of the quarter flew by without anything noteworthy happening.
