This game marked three first for me. One, the first time seeing a game at Martins Ferry, Two seeing Bridgeport drop a game, three, seeing Conotton Valley win a game. To keep the record straight, this was just my third time seeing these teams play. This was a ball game for one half , then the Rockets would run wild in the closing half and not stop until they had a 14 point win. The score looks closer than the game actually was. The reasoning for this was because the Rockets put in their 2nd unit, while Bridgeport, who did not dress enough players to field a 2nd unit left their starters in. With that came a nice easy drive for a score for Bridgeport followed by a recovery of an onside kick, after the score. That led to another score for Bridgeport. The score had been 43-14 before the two late scores.
