In a Saturday afternoon contest in Quincy near the banks of the Mississippi River, the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders hosted the Lift For Life Hawks from St. Louis. After a scoreless first quarter, thanks to Gavin Doellman’s two interceptions for QND, the Raiders opened up the scoring with two Aiden Klauser touchdowns. First from 25 yards and the second from 10 yards. Both in the air. On the second score, after a defensive penalty negated the play, QND’s two-point attempt came up empty. Giving the hosts a 13-0 lead.

Lift For Life would move the ball downfield late in the half, and connect on a 17 yard pass to Noah Ridgel. The two-point play would be a run short of the line to gain. And with 16.2 seconds remaining in the first half, Quincy Notre Dame would hold a slim, 13-6 lead.

In the second half, late in the third quarter, Quarterback Noah Lunt would sneak in a one yard run to give the Raiders a 20-6 lead. And finesse the rest of the game to keep the Hawks out of the endzone. Winning under the threat of rain, 20-6 in the interstate matchup.
