Staying local for me is a rarity as I like to travel, but for the 2nd time this season, I stayed local. Because the game at Licking Valley again rival Johnstown looked to be the best of the few games played in the state of Ohio last night. The last six times these two Licking County rivals hooked up each had won three games. The Panthers would score just once in the opening quarter to lead 7-0. Then they would add 28 points in the 2nd quarter, with a safety accounting for two of those points.
The game’s first score came on a short run by Mitchell Ford, who went untouched into the end zone, thanks to a very nice block from Kurt Carr. The PAT by Alex Pennington would make this a 7-0 game, with 9:07 showing on the clock. The team would trade fumbles before the quarter came to a close. Justin Larochelle would make the recovery for the Johnnies, while Devin Mcconnell did so for the Panthers.

Just when it appeared the Panthers were going to score again, but Mitchell Ford coughed the ball up and after the pile was cleared the refs signaled first down Johnstown. The Panthers defense would stand stout and force a Johnstown punt four plays later. The ball sailed over the head of Cole Workman and  out of the end zone, for a safety putting the Panthers up 9-0. The Panthers would get a 2 yard score from ford, a 65 yard catch by Bodee Creech  for a score and a 10 yard catch by Carson Conley to make this a 35-0 game at the half.

The Panthers would go up 42-0, after Hayden Hile scored from 10 yards out. Johnstown would get three scores in the fourth quarter, aided by two onside kick recoveries from Brandon Mcconnell. The first two scores came from Wes Myers on runs of one yard and ten yards. The final score came from Jaden Jacob on a three yard run, to make the final score 42-22.
