This was my 2nd trip to Jamestown during the spring season and I have to say I walked away more impressed with the Red Raiders than I was the first time I watched them and I was impressed big time that night. In this one, they battled Williamsville South, who like Jamestown entered 5-0. For the most part, this game was over after the opening quarter, a quarter that ended with a score of 22-7 in favor of the home team. The Billies, who showed some speed and a nice offensive concept that showed a lot of misdirection but they could not fool the stay-at-home defense that Jamestown showed.

With 8:22 left in the opening quarter, Ben Anderson recovered a fumble his teammate #27 (Not on the roster caused) from there the manbeast known as Jaylen Butera was unleashed as he picked up 36-yards on a nice run, with a horse collar tackled penalty adding to the run. With the ball being moved to the Billies three-yard line with the flag Butera had no problem crashing in for the short score. Ella Prophete connected on her P.A.T. to make this a 7-0 game, with 7:51 left in the quarter.

Max Graves was hit for an 11-yard loss by the Red Raiders Markell Carter. then Jonathan Clifford was sacked by Ben Anderson for a loss of six. After getting the ball back the Red Raiders would get a 15-yard run from the manbeast, who used a Barry Sanders-like spin move to pick up the yards. Butera would then act like John Riggins as he overpowered two would-be tacklers to crash in from 5-yards out, with the PAT from Prophete we had a 14-0 game with 4:30 left in the quarter.

The Billies in desperate need of anything positive went with a halfback pass to get a much-needed big play. PJ Tasca hit Graves to set up a first and goal from the five. Clifford would go the final five yards for the score, then Max Voyer made this a 14-7 game, with 1:36 left in the quarter.

The Billies defense would finally put Jamestown into a punting situation and just when it looked like the punt was coming Jamestown pulled off the fake with Butera going 69-yards for a touchdown to end the quarter. A two-point conversion run from, you guessed it, Butera increased the Jamestown lead to 22-7.

Almost three minutes into the 2nd quarter facing another fourth down the Red Raiders would get a 39-yard touchdown catch from Elijah Rojas that was followed by another two-point conversion run from Butera making this a 30-8 game. This would become a 38-7 game when Butera galloped for another 69-yard score and Markell Carter completed the two-point conversion on a running play.

Sincere Green would record a sack for the Jamestown defense at the 2:41 mark of the 2nd quarter, that was followed shortly by a fumble recovery by after by a Joseph VanGiesen to get the Red Raiders the ball back with 1:54 left in the half. Jamestown would get a 44-yard touchdown run from Butera to make this a 45-7 game, with 1:42 left. Before the half ended the Red Raiders would get a 31-yard pick-six by Sincere Green to give us the halftime score of 51-7.

The third quarter flew by with neither team being able to do much on offense. In the final stanza, Jamestown would get a 3-yard touchdown pass from Trey Drake to Rojas. The score was set up on a nice catch from Colin Melendez. That score gave us a 57-7 game. The final score came from the Billies on a 1-yard run by Clifford. The point after ended the scoring to give us a 57-14 final.
