Friday night I took in my first ever game at Glasgow high school to was the Scotties battle what should be a very solid Woodford County team. The Yellow Jackets are a Class 5-A school, While Glasgow is a 3-A. Unlike Ohio, the bigger number is the bigger school. In watching the teams warm-up I felt this was going to be one of those running clock games and that is exactly what it turned out to be.

The Scotties would get off to a nice start when John Carter Myers found Corbin Wells for a big 29-yar catch. The drive would total just 27-yards as the Yellow Jacket defense made a quick recovery. When the YellowJackets got the ball Bryce Patterson hit Aden Nelson for a nice 24-yard pick-up. The Scotties defense would respond on the next play when Myers plastered Jacob Jackson holing the shifty running back to a 4-yard gain. Jackson would respond himself when he next touches the ball by going on a 19-yard sprint. Patterson would use his feet to go on a 6-yard touchdown run, with 6:41 left in the quarter. Sawyer Ford made good on his point-after try to make this a 7-0 game. The Yellow Jackets would have two more nice plays before the quarter came to a close. The first was from their defense with Preston Stacy plastering Easton Jessie for a loss of five, then their offense got a big 44-yard gain by Stacy. Stacy is dangerous on both sides of the ball.

The second quarter was only:35 seconds old when Patterson scored from a yard out. Ford was true on his point-after kick to give us our 14-0 score. Myers, who got little protection from his over-matched line would be sack for a loss of seven by Jackson Geilear at the 9:08 mark of the quarter. The Yellow Jackets would get a 58-yard touchdown catch from Aden Nelson, who was wide opened on the play. The point-after kick made this a 21-0 game, with 8:29 left in the half. Stacy would make this a 28-0 game when he scored from 2-yards just two minutes and twenty nine seconds after the last Yellow Jacket score. The clock said 1:37 left in the half when Makhi Smith picked up nearly 50-yards on another big pass play. Stacy went the final two yards ten a two-pointGeilear conversion run gave us a 36-0 game.

Geilear scored on a two-yard run with 6:45 left making this a 43-0 game after the point after kick was true.

Caleb Brown would record a sack for the Yellow Jacket defense when he got to Jessie. The last big play of the quarter came on a diving catch by Jabari Alexander that totaled 32-yards. The Yellow Jackets had so many weapons in this one that it was hard to keep track of them all.

The fourth quarter had two huge plays and one nice one as the clock was running freely due to the lopsided score. First, Geilear scored from 15-yards out. The Scotties got a 38-yard pass play from Jessie, who hit Javon Clark. The final play came when 5-10,260 pound scooped up a Scotties fumble kept his balance after nearly being tackled and then he was escorted 95-yards downfield for the last touchdown of the game. The last point came on the point after kick by Logan Ford.
