Playoff Seeding Fallout on the Line in Early Season Card

Thursday starts the first full weekend of the 2023 football season, with early playoff implications on the line. Headlining this week’s games are a pair of 6A tilts involving Downingtown’s two teams. Downingtown East (PFN HM) visits State College (PFN #4), while Downingtown West (PFN HM), fresh off a win over PPL favorite Abraham Lincoln hosts Perk Valley (PFN HM), who are coming off a thrashing of Chester High. The winners of each of these games should find their way into the top 10 of PFN’s 6A rankings. The panel has State College as a heavy favorite and Perk Valley a slight favorite over Downingtown West. Other 6A games that surely influence playoff spots are Hempfield vs York High and Parkland vs Allentown Freedom, the panel favors York and Parkland.

One of the more interesting battles on this week card is 2A Line Mountain (PFN HM) visiting 3A Danville (PFN#4), while the panel is unanimous in their selection of 3A powerhouse Danville, this could be the game that vaults Line Mountain into the 2A top 10. This week’s 10 game card covers the state from the Delaware River to the Ohio state line 6A to 1A and everything in between, much like PFN’s game coverage.

The big question on everyone’s mind is how long will it take for Protime Phil to reclaim his spot at the top of the Pick’em Challenge? Will Tristan and Marcus’s reign on top of the table extend to week two, or will one the panel line up all of his tarot correctly and have a 10/10 week, to overtake the lead.
