LET’S GET TO KNOW CALEB

Why do you play football?

I love the game. Ever since I watched my first football game I knew that that was the sport i wanted to play. The adrenaline rush you just don’t get with other sports that I have played like soccer and basketball. The energy the communication the atmosphere that football brings is unlike any sport.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Jason Kelce has always been my favorite. I’ve known him since I was 4 after he bought a car from my family’s dealership and from then on watching him win the superbowl his personality and being able to make commercials with him has been the greatest experience of my life and therefore he’s my favorite sports star.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

My favorite play is a jet sweep which has me go across the field and take a handoff. It was one of the most successful plays last year for our team as I scored 6 times on it.

What was last years season like for you?

It was the greatest sports season I had ever been apart of. Sophomore year I started only as the kicker but half way through camp my coach made me the return man because of my speed. Junior year I started at 5 different positions all across offense defense and special teams. We were able to turn around our football program having the best record in years and beating Maryland which was the highlight of my season.

What are your goals for this coming season?

I want to win the KSFL championship. My freshmen year we went 1-6 getting by blown out by nearly every team. Now we were one game from the championship and with the team we have thing year I have no doubt we’ll be able to make it there and win

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Zeke Ortiz of Maryland school for the deaf. His football IQ was one of the best I’ve seen and his ability to adjust to our offense like no team could definitely gave him that title

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Super Bowl 52 when the eagles won was by far the best game I’ve ever witnessed

What would you do to improve the recruiting process?

Describe what the perfect teammate is

A player who doesn’t just play for themselves but for the team who will put behind their mistakes and help their teammates grow and keep them and others accountable.

Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community

Football is a team sport and you cant be successful without everyone doing their job and with all the different positions and parts of football it brings all sorts of people into the game. The community at DC for football is awesome. The fans that have stuck with us through our shortcomings and success and the crowed that come to support us for our games makes the game 100 times more exciting and enjoyable.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Playing 8-man football and being the kicker do not get along together. Last year now trust I’m playing with both my brother who is the long snapper and cousin who’s is the holder I was able to attempt my first extra point which was good and awesome so I’m hoping that this year I’d be able to kick a legitimate field goal for 3.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

Probably my dad who even though he never got the chance to play football was an athlete in lacrosse in both college and high school. I’ve looked up to him for as long as I can remember with true way he handles things, what he loves to do and just him as a person. He’s a great leader, friend and an even better father.

What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?

Preseason Two a Days are:

Actually pretty fun. We will do 8 hrs strait of football and just to be able to be with the guys playing the game we love is really fun.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My grandfather has been at nearly every game all 3 years that I have played so far. He’s traveled in the thick hurricane rain last year to Randolph and has made the late drive to D.C for model. He is invested in the program and I love to see him in the stands whenever I go out to play.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I’m also the school photographer and have my own company Vidflicks which I love to do.

What is your favorite play to run?

I’d say that the kickoff is my favorite play to run even though it’s not really your standard play. I love how fast it is and the adrenaline rush that comes with every split second decision that’s needed to take it to the house.

is a hot dog a sandwich? If not, then why?

No it’s a hotdog it’s it’s own thing

Music of choice:

Country and classic rock

Best thing you ever got from a teammate? Why?

Best Pizza topping?

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Long Beach Island we go there always throughout the summer.
