This was a defensive battle for the entire first half as neither team was able to put up any points. This really was not a big surprise being Andrean had allowed only 13.8 points a game heading into this one, while Mater Dei had given up just 14.4 points per game. Tyler Martin the tackling machine for the Mater Dei Wildcats came in with 145 tackles led his teams defense in his one with 8 tackles. Leading the way for the 59ers was Dom DiTola also with eight. He came in with 65 which ranked fourth on the team. For Andrean they would total 258 yards, while the 59ers had 266.

Drayk Bowen seemed to be unfazed by all of the good defense especially in the second half that saw him score three touchdowns. All of his scores came in the ground with the rushes coming from 29, 2, and 3 yards. Scott Ballentine nailed his only point-after kick the other points for the winners came on a two-point conversion from Bowen. Bowen also recorded six tackles on the night.

For the Wildcats, Mason Wunderlich had a touchdown rushing and Camden Marx easily nailed a 31-yard field goal. Wunderlich was 19-37 throwing the ball with two picks. Joey Pierre led the ground attack with 55 yards. The Wildcats did score first taking the 6-0 lead in the third but from there it was basically the Bowen ground game.
