The Division Three-State Final would pit the Canfield Cardinals (13-1) against the Bloom Carroll Bulldogs (13-1). This would mark the first time these two teams had faced off. Both schools would feature two solid players for the Cardinals, Broc Lowry, and for the Bulldogs, Dylan Armentrout. Lowry, a 6-3, 205-pound quarterback, would have a big night as expected, with 121 rushing yards good for three touchdowns. He would complete 1-17 passes for just 95 yards and one touchdown. Armentrout would not have as good a night as expected due to the solid effort from the Cardinals defense. He would be held to 81 yards on 16 carries.

Lowery would plunge in from a yard out to open up the scoring with 4:18 left in the opening quarter, and after Joel Miasek booted the point after kick, we had ourselves a 7-0 game. The two teams would combine for 144 yards of offense in the quarter.

The third quarter brought just one score, and that came on a 2-yard run from Lowery at the 3:55 mark. Even though it was only a two-point victory, the Cardinals were in complete command. Their defense was able to keep the Bulldogs on a tight leash, while their offense was doing just enough to keep them out in front. In all, there were 117 yards of total offense, with the Cardinals accounting for 82 of them.

In the final frame, Lowry caught a 69-yard touchdown on a nicely thrown ball by Paul Bindas, making this a 28-7 game. The Cardinals would go up 35-7 when Lowrt found Dom Marzano from 9 yards out.
