
Casey County uses strong defense to defeat Lincoln County 10-6

Defense some will swear, while others will cry the offenses stunk. Either way, you want to twist it Casey County posted the win in the Death Valley bowl over the host team Lincoln County by the score 10-6. Lincoln County was held to a total of 166 yards on 52 plays, with Sawyer accounting for 108 of them. He was 7-21 passing for 69 yards and he rushed for 39 yards on 16 carries and a score. For the winners, they ran just 43 plays for a total of 215 yards. Quarterback, Andrew Price was 5-13 for 42 yards. The biggest weapon for the winners was Evan Stephens, who ran the ball for 173 yards on 25 carries good for 1 touchdown. Tyler Short had a 35-yard field goal for the game’s first score. Over all Casey County ran 43 plays for a total of 215 yards.
