Early in the opening quarter, Calumet would get a nice leaping catch by Isiah Kish on a high throw from Kolton Foutz to pick up the first down. Nasty Luke Williams would get credit for a big hit on Nathan Martinez causing a fumble that Gerret Hatfield pounced on to give Landmark Christian the ball. The drive looked to be headed in the right direction for the Eagles when Nigel Wight used the work of his offensive line to pick up 13 yards. Jacob Newton added 10 yards on a nice run. However, the biggest play on the drive came from the Patriots defense when Michael Clayton picked off the Caleb Vetter pass to end the once promising-looking drive with 5:07 left in the scoreless opening quarter. Ethan Smith and Alex Disher would drive Nathan Martinez backward for a loss of one as the Eagles defense kept up the pressure. After the Eagles got the ball back Nigel Wright coughed the ball up at his own five where Martinez made the recovery setting the Patriots up with a very short field. Foutz would get a nice 8-yard touchdown run to put the Patriots up 6-0 with 2:18 left on the clock. The drive totaled 8 yards and 3 plays.

The Eagles offense again was moving in the right direction with a 12-yard run from Noah Bryant. Bryant would end the 14-play 80-yard drive with a 3-yard run with 6:31 left in the half locking this one up at six. After quickly disposing of the Calumet offense, the Eagles needed just 3-plays to drive 27 yards for their next score which came on a Vetter to Wright 21-yard touchdown. With Daniel Hoke getting the snap down Andrew Hoke easily connected on the point after kick to make this a 13-6 game with 3:29 remaining in the half.

On the ensuing kickoff, the Calumet returner froze for a second giving Joshua Perry just enough time to race downfield and dive on the ball putting the Eagles offense right back on the field. Two plays later we had a 20-6 game thanks to a 24-yard touchdown pass from Vetter to Jacob Newton with 2:41 now left in the half.

The Patriots offense would respond with a 14-ard run from Nathan Martinez, who broke multiple tackles to pick up the yards. A 23-yard touchdown catch by Isiah Kish followed by a two-point conversion pass from Foutz to Martinez made this a 20-14 game. Landmark Christian would get a 39-yard catch by Israel Marcum right before the half ended.

The Eagles caught a break when the ball hit a Calumet player on the punt and racing downfield to make the recovery was a hustling Marcum setting his offense up for the only score of the quarter with Vetter finding Joshua Bush for the 10-yard score that was followed by a two-point conversion pass to Wright to make this a 28-14 game entering the final frame.

We had a 35-14 game after Vetter used his feet to sprint into the end zone from 8 yards out ending a 6-play 40-yard drive at the 11:40 mark. The Patriots were able to get a pick by Kish when the Eagles receiver was tripped up by the turf monster with 10:33 left in the contest. However, the Eagles defense used a sack on Foutz by Nasty Luke Williams to quickly dispose of the Calumet offense. Nasty Luke would have another monster game from his linebacker slot with 16 tackles, 5 TFL, 2 Sacks, and a forced fumble. After AJ Skoog hit Wight for a 34-yard touchdown on a play where the Calumet defenders had tight coverage on the play we had a 42-14 game.

The final two big plays in this one were a 32-yard touchdown catch by a Calumet receiver who was not on the roster and a leaping interception by Wright from Landmark.
