On Saturday afternoon, Cameron traveled to Blacksville to take on Clay-Battelle for a chance at the state championship game next weekend in Charleston. After a scoreless first quarter, the two teams traded touchdowns before halftime. With Clay-Battelle taking a slim 8-6 lead into the break. The second half went back-and-forth before Clay-Battelle capitalized on a couple of turnovers to take a 24-12 lead. They’d hold on for the win and a game against Wheeling Central Catholic.
