
Edison Wildcats defeat Southern Local Indians, 42-24

On Thursday night at Edison Unified Sports Complex, the host Edison Wildcats struggled early before JD Henderson reeled off three touchdowns on the ground to win, 42-24 over the visiting Southern Local Indians.
Opening the game, Southern Local got on the board first, with a 10 yard run by QB Timmy Potts. Potts added two more touchdowns in the second half. Dominic Rawson scored from 11 yards out on a 4th and 10 to take a 12-0 lead early in the second quarter.
Edison answered the second score with a 73 yard kickoff return by Trevor Eisnaugle. Until Zach Vangosen snagged a key interception from Timmy Potts along the far sideline to stimy the Southern Local offense. Two plays later, Cole Pittman was on the receiving end of a 46 yard TD pass. Giving Edison a 14-12 lead. A lead they did not relinquish.
After halftime, on the first play from scrimmage, JD Henderson scored from 73 yards out for his second of three touchdowns. Closing out the night with a 9 yard run late in the fourth quarter. Timmy Potts for Southern Local added two more scores, bookending a Trevor Eisnaugle 45 yard score for the Edison Wildcats.
